About the role
Smartly is actively seeking a Senior Enterprise Account Executive to spearhead our ambitious expansion initiative within the Mexican market. In this capacity, you will be the foundational architect responsible for establishing our commercial foothold by forging strategic partnerships with leading brands, influential agencies, and major advertisers. The role demands a consultative approach as you build a market presence from the ground up utilizing our AI-powered advertising platform to drive value. You will own the end-to-end commercial strategy, translating complex platform capabilities into clear business outcomes for enterprise clients. This position requires a high degree of ownership over key accounts and the autonomy to define success in a rapidly growing environment. You will act as the primary external representative of the organization, shaping brand perception and driving adoption. Success in this role will be defined by your ability to identify and secure large-scale opportunities that establish Smartly as a category leader. You will be instrumental in setting the standard for commercial excellence and market penetration in Mexico.

What you'll do
- Identify and close new business opportunities with large-scale advertisers and brands across diverse verticals.
- Create and implement territory strategies to grow our market footprint and penetration in priority sectors.
- Manage a complex sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, strategic networking, and seamless collaboration with Sales Development Representatives.
- Conduct in-depth discovery sessions, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and lead intricate contract negotiations.
- Coordinate extensively with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to meticulously manage the end-to-end customer lifecycle.
- Work closely with the Head of Sales to refine go-to-market plans and pinpoint priority verticals with the highest growth potential.
- Attend prominent industry conferences and key meetings to build brand awareness and establish market credibility.
- Maintain highly accurate sales forecasts and provide transparent reporting on progress toward ambitious revenue targets.
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to executive stakeholders regarding creative automation and performance marketing initiatives.
- Leverage data insights to tailor your sales pitches and demonstrate clear return on investment for prospective clients.
- Develop and execute account plans that outline key milestones, stakeholder mapping, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Champion the Smartly platform internally to ensure cross-functional alignment and support for enterprise-level demands.
- Identify adjacent opportunities for expansion within existing client portfolios through upselling and cross-selling efforts.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads to ensure consistent revenue generation and pipeline health.
Requirements
- Possess prior experience in enterprise SaaS, AdTech, MarTech, or media sales with a documented history of consistently exceeding quotas and delivering results.
- Demonstrate a background in successfully developing new markets or expanding commercial operations in unfamiliar territories.
- Show knowledge of the Mexican digital advertising landscape, including the specific dynamics of agency and media group buying processes and decision-making hierarchies.
- Exhibit the ability to manage complex sales cycles that involve navigating multiple stakeholders and aligning diverse interests.
- Maintain strong negotiation and communication skills that are adaptable to audiences ranging from marketing practitioners to C-level executives and board members.
- Ensure fluency in Spanish and professional proficiency in English to communicate effectively with all client stakeholders and internal teams.
- Display the ability to travel frequently within Mexico and the broader region to conduct business meetings, attend events, and nurture client relationships on-site.
