What you'll do

Coordinate transportation services events and manage associated documentation to ensure seamless execution and compliance with Marine Corps standards.

Analyze fleet management data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost savings or operational improvements.

Produce detailed financial analyses related to transportation operations, focusing on budget performance, cost tracking, and variance reporting.

Support audit preparation and response activities by gathering evidence, tracking issues, and ensuring timely submission of required documentation.

Develop and maintain transportation policy documents, ensuring they reflect current regulations and best practices within the Department of Defense framework.

Monitor Marine Corps Garrison Mobile Equipment (GME) programs, tracking metrics and performance indicators to support continuous improvement.

Manage non-tactical vehicle (NTV) programs by overseeing utilization reports, maintenance schedules, and compliance verification.

Utilize task management tools to track progress, deadlines, and responsibilities for multiple concurrent projects within the Transportation Services Branch.

Generate high-quality written products, including reports, briefings, and summaries, tailored to stakeholders at various organizational levels.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, clarify requirements, and ensure alignment with broader mission objectives.

Perform routine data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of transportation-related information systems.

Assist in the development and implementation of transportation service enhancements based on data-driven insights and stakeholder feedback.

Support the implementation of new processes or systems related to fleet and transportation management as directed by senior leadership.

Act as a subject matter liaison for transportation matters, facilitating communication between program teams and supporting agencies.

Requirements

Demonstrate the ability to independently manage complex tasking with a high level of initiative and follow-through.

Possess strong analytical skills, with the capability to interpret transportation and fleet management data to inform decision-making.

Show attention to detail in all aspects of work, particularly in the preparation of written products and financial analyses.

Maintain professional communication skills when interacting with colleagues, stakeholders, and Marine Corps personnel at various levels.

Have experience supporting DoD transportation, fleet management, or logistics operations in a consulting or similar capacity.

Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for data analysis and report generation.

Possess the ability to operate effectively within structured task management processes and adhere to established procedures.

Hold an active Secret security clearance, which is essential for performing the duties of this role in a government environment.

Nice to have

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in Marine Corps or other Department of Defense transportation services.

Experience supporting fleet management analytics or financial analysis within a federal contractor environment is highly valued.

Familiarity with event coordination for logistics or transportation-related programs is considered a plus.

Candidates with a background in audit support activities related to transportation or fleet management will be viewed favorably.

This is a hybrid position based in Arlington, Virginia, requiring a combination of on-site and remote work.

An active Secret security clearance is required for this role.
