Client Engineer
Job description
About the role
Join our Shanghai team to build a new, unannounced mobile game from the ground up. You will help create core systems and features for a large-scale, persistent world designed for millions of players. In this capacity, you will own the client architecture that powers live interactions and directly influence the design decisions that shape player experiences. The role requires you to translate high-level product concepts into robust technical implementations on tight schedules. You will be responsible for ensuring that the client-side stack remains stable, performant, and scalable under the pressure of millions of concurrent users. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving where you identify bottlenecks and drive optimizations without constant supervision. You will act as a critical bridge between engineering, design, and server teams to align on long-term technical strategies. Ultimately, your work will define the quality and reliability of the game for the end-user from the very first launch.
