Scopely is currently seeking a Principal Game Designer to join the Bingo Bash team in Bangalore, India. We are a global collective of game enthusiasts dedicated to developing, publishing, and innovating within the mobile games industry. Our mission is to create meaningful connections with players worldwide through engaging experiences. Bingo Bash represents a major international effort, standing as the highest-grossing video game from India to date, measured by revenue. You will contribute to a top-grossing free-to-play title, shaping content for a massive and growing player base.

This position is responsible for the end-to-end design integrity of Bingo Bash. You will set the creative vision for core systems and guide a small team to turn strategic concepts into engaging player experiences. The role requires a balance of hands-on design work and leadership, ensuring that game mechanics, progression, and meta systems remain compelling and sustainable. Your contributions will directly influence the game enjoyed by millions of players globally.

Key Responsibilities

You will define the north star for all core game systems, including progression, economy, and meta features such as challenges and seasonal content. This involves creating a cohesive vision that guides long-term design decisions. Introducing rapid prototyping into the design process is a key priority, allowing for early validation of concepts before significant development investment. You will analyze player behavior and product analytics to iteratively refine features, focusing on improvements that enhance engagement and long-term retention.

Collaboration is central to this role. You will work closely with product managers, analytics experts, and engineering teams to implement designs effectively. This includes balancing workloads, managing production timelines, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. A critical part of the position involves presenting and defending design decisions to senior leadership, requiring clear communication and strong advocacy for the player experience. You will also monitor competitor releases and industry trends to identify new patterns and inspire innovative mechanics for Bingo Bash. Translating the results of live experiments into comprehensive design documents is essential for ensuring engineering teams can execute builds with confidence.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate brings a minimum of six years of experience designing mobile free-to-play games. This background must include demonstrated expertise in system design, feature design, and economy balancing for live services. You have a history of leading and mentoring other designers, managing realistic production schedules, and elevating team performance through constructive feedback. Proficiency with prototyping tools such as Figma is required to communicate concepts and validate ideas early in the development cycle.

A strong data-driven mindset is non-negotiable. You must be comfortable reading complex analytics and using insights to drive decisions, iterating on features based on retention, engagement, and monetization signals. Precision in communication is essential, as you will need to explain intricate design rationale to executives and cross-functional partners. Your passion for game design and a deep understanding of player motivations will guide your work every day.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Prior experience within the social casino genre or a similar F2P environment is valuable. Familiarity with LiveOps strategies and an understanding of how these rhythms influence design choices will allow you to integrate seasonal events and live content more effectively. These experiences will help you create systems that support long-term player investment and satisfaction.

Skills and Tools

This role requires expert-level use of Figma for interface and system visualization. You will also rely heavily on Excel to analyze data, model economies, and track key performance indicators. These tools are fundamental for maintaining clarity and accuracy in your design processes.

Practical Information

The position is located in Bangalore, India, and operates on a full-time engagement basis. The compensation for this role is 24,00,000 INR per year.
