Senior Product Manager, Family Office
Job description
About the role
The Senior Product Manager, Family Office Operations will define the strategic roadmap for non-portfolio services within the Savvy ecosystem. This role owns the end-to-end delivery of tax, estate planning, trust management, insurance, and lending solutions for advisors and their clients. You will determine the optimal blend of in-house development, strategic partnerships, and external vendors to deliver a seamless family office experience. The position requires fluency in AI-native product thinking to automate complex workflows while preserving the human advisory relationship. You will act as the primary product voice for this suite of services with full responsibility for execution and outcomes. This is a founder-led role that establishes the foundational layer for all future non-portfolio service offerings at Savvy.
What you'll do
- Define the family office service strategy by identifying necessary offerings such as tax, estate, trust, insurance, and lending, and setting clear priorities for phased implementation based on advisor and client demand.
- Build and manage a robust partner ecosystem, including assessing, onboarding, and managing external providers that deliver critical family office services, acting as the product lead on partner discussions, reviewing contracts, defining integration scopes, and managing partner roadmaps.
- Make disciplined build-vs.-buy-vs-partner decisions for every service, evaluating distinct business models and long-term implications for control, scalability, and client experience.
- Convert complex, manual services into scalable products while preserving the human advisory touch where it adds unique value, ensuring the experience feels like a single, unified Savvy product across all service lines.
- Implement AI-native solutions for service workflows, such as AI-assisted tax transcript capture before client meetings, automated document drafting workflows, and visualized estate structures, with advisor oversight and approval as a required step.
- Construct rigorous business cases for new services, analyzing adoption rates, attachment metrics, pricing models, partner economics, and the impact on advisor growth, retention, and the ability to service up to 50% more households while saving 19 hours per week.
- Lead cross-functional execution by collaborating with engineering, design, advisor success, compliance, and external partners to remove obstacles, make final decisions, and drive progress within regulated timeframes.
- Integrate non-software solutions where appropriate, balancing technology, partnerships, and human processes to meet the comprehensive financial ecosystem needs of affluent families across generations, including taxes, estate planning, trusts, insurance, and philanthropic giving.
Requirements
- Hold a minimum of five years of product management experience in financial services or regulated industries, with a demonstrated history of navigating complex compliance and risk environments.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment surrounding tax, estate, and insurance products, including the implications of rules governing fiduciaries, disclosures, and client data.
- Exhibit the ability to communicate effectively with advisors and sophisticated families regarding complex subjects, translating technical service details into clear value propositions that support adoption and retention.
- Show a proven track record of delivering products in environments that require strict compliance, risk awareness, and alignment with established investment operations standards.
- Display strong judgment in making trade-off decisions with limited data and high-stakes implications, balancing speed, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Bring experience aligning cross-functional stakeholders around a shared product vision and execution plan, including engineering, design, advisor success, compliance, and operations teams.
- Provide evidence of managing relationships with external vendors and partners in a B2B context, including contract review, integration scoping, and ongoing portfolio management.
- Illustrate comfort working with emerging technologies such as AI within regulated product frameworks, leveraging tools like Savvy Intelligence and ensuring every employee uses Claude as part of an AI-first operating model supported by a dedicated AI enablement team and RevOps organization.
- Maintain fluency in product and operational details of the proprietary client portal and platform data structures to ensure seamless integration of new services.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in investment operations or portfolio management platforms, including familiarity with how advisory firms service clients and the constraints of manual, email-driven processes.
