Savvy is transforming the wealth management sector by providing independent advisors with a modern, AI-native platform. As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead the evolution of our financial infrastructure and advisor-facing tools to simplify complex, manual industry workflows. You will own the end-to-end design of high-impact features that bridge the gap between legacy financial operations and modern user expectations. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate ambiguous business problems into coherent, user-centered design solutions. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to define and refine the product vision through research, synthesis, and iteration. Your work will directly influence how thousands of financial advisors interact with their core tools on a daily basis. You will be responsible for ensuring that every touchpoint feels intuitive, reliable, and aligned with the broader product strategy.

What you'll do
- Drive major product initiatives from initial research and discovery through to final execution and launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Design cohesive workflows for diverse user groups, including financial advisors, clients, and internal operations teams, mapping out each step of the user journey.
- Build high-trust interfaces for critical financial tasks such as account transfers, onboarding, and money movement, focusing on clarity and error prevention.
- Integrate Savvy Intelligence and other AI capabilities to improve user productivity and decision-making, making advanced features feel seamless and natural.
- Conduct user research, including interviews and surveys, to inform design strategy and product prioritization, turning qualitative insights into actionable design directions.
- Maintain and scale our design system while adapting patterns for complex, AI-driven features, ensuring consistency across new and existing products.
- Collaborate with engineering and product management to ensure operational clarity and service-oriented design, bridging the gap between technical constraints and user expectations.
- Define and own the information architecture for complex financial workflows, organizing content and functionality in a way that supports intuitive navigation.
- Prototype interactive experiences to validate concepts early, using tools to simulate flows and gather feedback before significant engineering investment.
- Advocate for accessibility and usability standards, ensuring that designs are inclusive and meet baseline compliance for financial applications.
- Analyze design performance using qualitative and quantitative signals, iterating based on observed user behavior and stated feedback.
- Partner with data teams to identify opportunities for experimentation, using insights to refine interactions and improve key metrics over time.
- Lead design critiques and knowledge-sharing sessions within the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Mentor junior designers by providing guidance on process, standards, and best practices, helping to elevate the overall design quality of the team.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in product design, ideally within a fast-paced startup setting, with a track record of shipping impactful products.
- Proven ability to design complex systems or service-oriented products involving multiple user types, balancing the needs of each group effectively.
- Strong foundation in interaction design, information architecture, and systems thinking, enabling you to create structured and logical user experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to accelerate research, prototyping, and iteration, incorporating emerging technologies into your design process.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex problems into clear design decisions, presenting rationales to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong ownership mindset and the ability to manage tasks effectively in an ambiguous environment, taking initiative when direction is limited.
- Experience using research insights to drive product strategy and design outcomes, ensuring that decisions are grounded in user behavior and needs.
- Comfort working in a high-trust, service-oriented environment where operational clarity and reliability are essential to the business.
