About the role
Savvy is on a mission to the wealth management industry by equipping independent financial advisors with an innovative AI-driven operating system. As a Series B startup, we have rapidly expanded to a team of 150 employees, achieving an impressive 500% growth year-over-year, fueled by $105 million in funding. In this role, you will be part of our Research and Development department, tasked with creating user-friendly interfaces that make complex financial information accessible for both advisors and their clients.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Spearhead product initiatives, guiding them from initial research and ideation all the way through to final implementation and launch.
- Design workflows tailored for a variety of user groups, including financial advisors, clients, and internal operations teams.
- Develop trustworthy interfaces for critical financial processes, such as fund transfers, account management, and client onboarding.
- Conduct user research, including interviews and surveys, to shape design strategies and inform product decisions.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure that designs align with operational realities and service requirements.
- AI tools to enhance your design process, streamlining prototyping, research synthesis, and iterative design.
- Engage in peer design critiques, fostering a culture of high standards and accountability within the team.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the design approach and user experience.
- Mentor junior designers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.
- Analyze user feedback and data to iterate on designs and improve overall user satisfaction.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to align design goals with business objectives.
- Advocate for the user experience throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that user needs are prioritized.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of professional experience in product design, preferably in a fast-paced B2C startup environment.
- Demonstrated capability in designing intricate systems while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong skills in interaction design or branding, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to simplify complex information into clear and actionable design solutions.
- Experience leveraging user research to guide and validate design choices.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
- A passion for creating AI-enhanced product experiences that resonate with users.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in design roles within the fintech or wealth management sectors, or other industries that require high levels of trust and security.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in financial services.
- Experience with agile methodologies and design sprints.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in user research methodologies, including interviews, card sorting, and surveys.
- Expertise in interaction design principles and practices.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools and workflows.
- Experience in designing complex systems that require a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.
