What you'll do
- Answer inbound customer calls to discuss various loan products, prequalification criteria, and next steps.
- Communicate loan progress clearly to consumers and collect any required documentation.
- Guide clients through the prequalification process, explaining options and eligibility in straightforward terms.
- Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy before submission to underwriting.
- Coordinate closely with operations and processing teams to move files efficiently through each stage.
- Provide updated timelines and status checks to clients, maintaining transparency throughout the journey.
- Identify and nurture new business opportunities through phone outreach and follow-up conversations.
- Interpret loan estimates and closing disclosures, highlighting key terms and any changes for clients.
- Build long-term client relationships by following up after closing and encouraging repeat business and referrals.
- Maintain organized records of all conversations, commitments, and documentation within our secure systems.
- Monitor pipeline performance and adjust activity levels to meet production goals.
- Collaborate with underwriters to resolve conditions and keep transactions moving forward.
- Support marketing efforts by providing feedback from the field to improve campaigns and messaging.
- Demonstrate strong ownership by initiating proactive steps without waiting for direction on routine tasks.
Requirements
- You must be currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a mortgage loan originator in Nevada.
- You must hold a valid Unique State Identifier (USI) and maintain registration in the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System.
- You must possess a valid Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number for employment.
- You must pass a criminal background check and provide verifiable employment history for the past two years.
- You must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States without delay.
- You must have reliable high-speed internet, a dedicated landline, and a quiet workspace suitable for professional calls.
- You must be available to work core business hours and accommodate client schedules as needed.
- You must demonstrate strong communication skills, including clear verbal expression and attentive listening.
- You must have basic proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and web tools.
- You must be comfortable learning and using a customer relationship management platform.
- You must adhere to company policies, regulatory guidelines, and all compliance procedures.
- You must maintain confidentiality regarding client information and company data at all times.
- You must be willing to participate in ongoing training and coaching sessions to refine your skills.
- You must have a dedicated workspace that allows for professional customer interactions.
