About the role
You will own the strategic planning and operational execution for Rula's psychiatry business, defining the path to significantly scale the organization over the next several years. In this role, you will partner deeply with cross-functional leaders in Clinical, Operations, Growth, Product, Finance, and Analytics to evaluate and shape new business opportunities. You are responsible for translating high-impact ideas into actionable pilots and designing scalable initiatives that drive efficiency and growth. This position requires you to synthesize complex business problems and develop executive-level strategies while also managing the detailed work needed to implement them successfully. You will have meaningful ownership over projects that directly influence the future of high-quality psychiatric care and expand patient access.

What you'll do
Conduct comprehensive market and customer research to define long-term strategy for psychiatry services and identify new revenue opportunities.
Define the path to 5x the business over the next 3 years by developing rigorous financial models and scenario analyses in advanced Google Sheets and Excel.
Research, scope, and pilot new service launches or business lines, translating concepts into concrete operational plans and success metrics.
Deep-dive into patient and payor lifetime value (LTV) to improve unit economics and drive sustainable growth.
Partner with Product and Engineering to define product requirements and roadmap priorities for psychiatry-specific features and workflows.
Collaborate with Finance and Analytics to build dashboards, track performance, and generate insights that guide strategic decisions.
Lead end-to-end execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment between clinical, operational, and commercial teams.
Synthesize findings and recommendations into compelling narratives to influence executive stakeholders and secure buy-in for strategic investments.
Evaluate potential M&A, partnerships, adjacent markets, and other corporate development opportunities to accelerate business impact.
Own the development of scalable operating models, processes, and playbooks that support replication and efficiency.
Champion data-driven decision making by designing experiments, analyzing results, and iterating based on performance.
Act as the operational lead to turn strategic concepts into tangible pilots, manage timelines, and drive toward measurable outcomes.
Provide subject matter expertise on psychiatry market dynamics, regulatory considerations, and care delivery models to internal stakeholders.
Work closely with Clinical and Operations leaders to ensure that strategic plans are feasible, compliant, and centered on patient outcomes.
Requirements
You bring 7+ years of experience across Management Consulting, Strategy & Operations, Business Operations, Corporate Strategy, or similar strategy and ops roles within high-growth startups or mid-sized companies.
You possess advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel, including building complex financial models, leveraging advanced formulas, and analyzing large datasets with precision.
You demonstrate the ability to translate strategic objectives into scalable operating models, analytics frameworks, and cross-functional execution plans.
You communicate exceptionally well in writing and speaking, with the capacity to synthesize complex topics and influence executive-level stakeholders effectively.
You maintain a strong executive presence and have experience partnering directly with senior leaders, facilitating alignment, and navigating challenging or ambiguous business decisions.
You have a proven track record of independently leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution and delivery.
You are comfortable operating at every level of the organization, moving seamlessly from framing ambiguous business problems to managing detailed implementation work.
You hold the drive and discipline to own end-to-end responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities evolve quickly.
Nice to have
Experience at a high-growth technology company, with healthcare or digital health experience preferred.
Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Looker) and working knowledge of SQL.
Experience leading annual planning, strategic planning, or company-wide operational planning processes.
Experience launching and scaling new products, services, business lines, or other 0-to-1 initiatives.
Experience evaluating M&A, partnerships, adjacent markets, or other corporate development opportunities.
Practical notes
This is a remote position based in the United States, with the current exception of Hawaii.
Full-time engagement with standard working hours applies.
