Sr. Data Scientist (Remote)

About the role

This position drives data-informed decisions for one of Rula's product teams. You will act as an individual contributor, collaborating with leaders across various departments to develop insights and recommendations that shape product strategy. Your work will directly influence the product roadmap through data analysis.

What you'll do

• Transform broad inquiries into structured research and discovery plans.
• Proactively explore data to uncover actionable insights.
• Present findings clearly and persuasively.
• Model the potential impact of new features.
• Define success metrics and lead experimentation for new product launches.
• Improve the provider experience, quality, and marketplace balance on the platform.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in analytics or data science.
• 2+ years of experience specifically in product analytics.
• Deep understanding of product analytics metrics like conversion, churn, engagement, retention, and LTV, and the ability to translate them into insights.
• Strong experience with A/B testing, including experiment design, deployment, and result interpretation.
• Advanced technical skills with modern data stacks and data visualization tools.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders across different functions.

Nice to have

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment, managing shifting analytical priorities.
• Previous experience in the healthcare industry.
• Proven ability to link analytical insights to business strategy, influencing product decisions that drive revenue and growth.
• Advanced proficiency in Python/R for analytics and scripting, and working with event-based data.
