About the role
Rovio is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join the User Acquisition team in Stockholm and play a pivotal role in defining the performance trajectory of our flagship title. You will own the end-to-end analytical lifecycle for our user acquisition operations, translating raw campaign data into strategic insights that drive sustainable growth. This position requires you to manage the full funnel from acquisition event to long-term retention, ensuring that every marketing dollar is accounted for and optimized. You will be the primary analytical partner for the Performance marketing group, providing rigorous evaluation of channel efficiency and campaign impact. The role demands a balance between technical proficiency and business acumen, as you dissect complex marketing datasets to uncover actionable opportunities. You will design experiments to measure creative testing impact and quantify the true return of investment for our marketing initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders is central, as you work alongside marketers, product managers, and finance partners to align data-driven recommendations with business objectives. Ultimately, you will be responsible for shaping the user acquisition strategy that supports the continued growth and success of Angry Birds 2.

What you'll do
Analyze large and complex datasets from user acquisition sources to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for performance improvement.
Partner with the Performance marketing team to define, track, and report on core user acquisition metrics and key performance indicators.
Evaluate the efficiency of various marketing channels and campaigns to determine the most effective allocation of budget and resources.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide clear visibility into campaign performance and user behavior.
Design and implement experiments to test the impact of creative assets and messaging on user acquisition outcomes.
Perform cohort and funnel analysis to understand user journey patterns and identify drop-off points in the acquisition process.
Collaborate with finance stakeholders to model and forecast user acquisition costs and lifetime value projections.
Investigate discrepancies in campaign data to ensure accuracy and integrity in reporting and decision-making processes.
Synthesize complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making by providing insights that influence strategic planning and tactical execution.
Monitor industry trends and emerging analytical techniques to continuously enhance the user acquisition measurement framework.
Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines to ensure timely and reliable access to marketing data.
Requirements
You possess a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline.
You have substantial professional experience using SQL to query, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
You demonstrate advanced proficiency in a data analysis programming language such as Python or R.
You have a proven track record of working with web analytics platforms and advertising platforms like Google Analytics and Meta Ads.
You bring a minimum of five years of experience in user acquisition, performance marketing, or a related analytical role.
You show a strong understanding of statistical methods and experimental design, including A/B testing and hypothesis testing.
You have experience building and maintaining data dashboards, preferably using tools such as Tableau or Looker.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple analytical priorities simultaneously.
You must be authorized to work in Sweden and not require a works permit sponsorship from the employer.
You communicate effectively in English, both in written and verbal formats, to collaborate with international teams.
Nice to have
Experience with cost per install (CPI) campaigns and mobile measurement partners such as AppsFlyer or Adjust.
Familiarity with financial modeling and budget forecasting for marketing spend.
Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
Experience with visualization tools beyond standard dashboards, including advanced data storytelling techniques.
Understanding of game industry dynamics and user behavior in live service games.
Practical notes
The role is based in our Stockholm studio. While the position is not located in Sweden, we can support your relocation process.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
You are expected to work from the Stockholm office regularly.
The position requires authorization to work in Sweden.
Candidates must be fluent in English for daily collaboration.
