What you'll do
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle for the Payments Platform, from strategy formulation to execution and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement platform capabilities that enhance purchase conversion rates, improve first-payment success, and boost subscriber retention.
- Spearhead initiatives aimed at optimizing payment processes, including authorization strategies, intelligent routing, and account recovery programs.
- Manage relationships with payment partners, ensuring alignment on commercial goals, integration processes, and performance metrics.
- Expand the platform's capabilities to support new payment methods and comply with evolving regulatory requirements across different markets.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, and Data Science teams to establish frameworks for experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
- Act as the primary contact for payments platform initiatives within the subscription commerce ecosystem, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Regularly communicate platform performance, operational risks, and strategic priorities to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Lead a team of professionals focused on enhancing the operational efficiency of the Payments Platform and mentoring them for growth.
- Establish governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms to maintain alignment and accountability across various teams involved in payment processing.
- Drive strategic prioritization and manage trade-offs across governance, execution, and scalability to ensure operational readiness.
- Analyze payment data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, ensuring the platform evolves in line with market demands.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Product Management, specifically within payments, subscription commerce, or financial platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including gateways, processors, digital wallets, and subscription recovery strategies.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale payment initiatives that significantly enhance authorization rates and overall payment efficiency.
- Familiarity with payment orchestration concepts and the ability to manage complex multi-partner payment ecosystems.
- Experience operating payment systems in diverse markets, handling various payment methods and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with a background in A/B testing, KPI development, and data-driven prioritization.
- Excellent communication abilities, with experience presenting to senior leadership and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- A solid understanding of the balance between growth, customer experience, and operational reliability in a high-volume commerce environment.
- Technical fluency in modern commerce and payments architecture, including APIs and distributed systems.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
