What you'll do
- Analyze and interpret logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in the forward logistics process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, operations, and customer service, to develop and implement logistics strategies that enhance product delivery.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track logistics performance and report findings to management.
- Conduct regular audits of logistics operations to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and software to create detailed reports and dashboards that provide insights into logistics performance.
- Assist in the forecasting and planning of logistics activities to align with business objectives and customer demand.
- Identify and resolve logistical issues, such as delays or discrepancies, by coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management to inform decision-making.
- Support the implementation of new logistics technologies and systems to streamline operations and improve data accuracy.
- Provide training and support to team members on logistics processes and tools, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related analytical role.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, SQL, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, including inventory management and transportation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to various stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Nice to have
