About the role
Riveron is seeking a Director to join its Litigation Advisory Services team within the Restructuring and Turnaround Services sector. This pivotal role involves overseeing intricate commercial disputes, conducting forensic investigations, and addressing financial matters. The successful candidate will serve as a key advisor to both legal representatives and corporate clients, ensuring that all aspects of litigation are managed effectively.

What you'll do
- Lead litigation consulting projects from their inception through to resolution, ensuring a comprehensive approach to each case.
- Develop and assess financial models that address lost profits, business interruptions, shareholder disputes, and other economic damages.
- Conduct business valuations and forensic accounting investigations, which include asset tracing and fraud detection efforts.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to formulate case strategies, plan discovery processes, and critically evaluate opposing expert opinions.
- Prepare expert reports, declarations, and presentations for trial, ensuring clarity and precision in all documentation.
- Oversee daily client interactions, manage project budgets, and maintain high standards of quality control throughout engagements.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members, guiding their professional development and overseeing staffing and training initiatives.
- Play an active role in business development by supporting proposal efforts and fostering relationships with law firms and other potential clients.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related discipline is essential.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in areas such as disputes, forensic accounting, valuation, or litigation consulting is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in quantifying economic damages and performing business valuations is crucial.
- Proven experience in managing the complete lifecycle of client engagements, from initial contact to final resolution.
- Strong proficiency in preparing expert reports and conducting detailed financial analyses.
- Ability to juggle multiple client projects at once while maintaining a high standard of work.
- Advanced skills in Excel and a professional level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are necessary.
Nice to have
- A CPA designation would be advantageous.
- A master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics is preferred.
- Additional credentials such as CVA, ABV, ASA, CFF, or CFE are beneficial.
- Experience in providing expert witness support, including preparation for depositions and trial scenarios, is a plus.
- A background in business development or managing relationships with attorneys is desirable.
- Familiarity with AI tools and automation techniques that enhance analytical workflows is a valuable asset.
