Business Performance Improvement
Job description
About the role
This Senior Director seat sits in Riveron's strategy and Client Service work, focused on Systems and Technology Transformation. You shape how clients modernize ERP estates, infrastructure, cloud, networks, and data platforms, and how they redesign architecture when M&A forces integration or separation. C-suite leaders and private equity sponsors come to you for digital and enterprise technology strategy plus operating-model alignment. The job mixes hands-on program oversight, practice growth, business development, and building delivery teams that can carry complex multi-platform work.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Set enterprise technology and systems transformation strategies that tie digital roadmaps, ERP modernization, architecture, infrastructure upgrades, cloud adoption, and application plans to business goals.
- Run strategy assessments that redesign IT operating models, draw current and future-state architectures, and build business cases meant to lift operational performance and support scale.
- Counsel executives, boards, and PE sponsors on IT operating models, application portfolios, infrastructure spend, cybersecurity considerations, data strategy, integration architecture, and where to put technology investment next.
- Stay with clients through the full transformation arc as an executive advisor: help them rank investments, contain technology risk, and push for measurable outcomes.
- Stand up governance for large programs: transformation PMOs, reporting cadence, risk frameworks, vendor oversight, and organizational change approaches.
- Direct enterprise application modernization from process redesign and requirements through solution evaluation, implementation oversight, testing strategy, and value tracking on ERP and other critical platforms.
- Assess enterprise architecture and application portfolios: roadmaps, rationalization, platform choices, legacy modernization paths, integration strategy, and cloud adoption plans.
- Write architecture principles and technology standards so applications, infrastructure, cloud, data, cybersecurity, and integration stay aligned with long-term strategy.
- Own technology workstreams in mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and divestitures: diligence, Day 1 and Day 100 planning, system join or split, infrastructure disentanglement, application rationalization, cloud and network separation, TSA design and execution, and data migration.
- Grow Riveron's Systems and Technology Transformation catalog across ERP modernization, business applications, infrastructure, cloud, enterprise architecture, technology strategy, and technology-enabled performance improvement.
- Originate, qualify, and close engagements spanning enterprise technology strategy, systems transformation, ERP, infrastructure, cloud, architecture, and M&A technology services.
- Lead pursuits end to end: proposals, pursuit strategy, solution architecture, scope, pricing, oral presentations, and deal shaping on complex transformation work.
- Build advisor relationships with C-suite, PE sponsors, portfolio leadership, and alliance partners, then expand accounts by cross-selling Business Transformation, Transaction Advisory, CFO Services, and related Riveron practices.
- Strengthen offerings through methodologies, accelerators, and intellectual capital; speak for the firm via thought leadership, executive talks, industry events, publications, and networking; and join other service lines on integrated go-to-market plays.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop consultants, directors, and managers; run teams with clarity and accountability; and contribute to firm operations, strategic planning, and capability building.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, Management, or a related field.
- 15-20+ years of progressive leadership on enterprise technology and business transformation, covering business application and ERP modernization and implementation, enterprise architecture, infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, M&A, and technology-enabled business change.
- Prior work as a CIO, VP of IT, or senior executive technology leader, or substantial senior consulting advising the Office of the CIO on enterprise technology strategy, operating-model change, and large technology programs.
- Evidence of leading complex, cross-functional, multi-geography technology transformation programs such as ERP implementations, application modernization, infrastructure transformations, cloud migrations, system standups, and post-merger integrations.
- Deep M&A technology experience: diligence, integration planning and execution, carve-outs, infrastructure and application separation, TSA planning and execution, and Day 1 / Day 100 readiness.
- Consulting background at a Big Four, national advisory, or boutique firm, with thought leadership, executive advisory, client relationship management, and business development proof.
- Breadth across infra estates, cloud platforms, data architecture, cybersecurity, and application landscapes, with hands-on familiarity of major ERP suites: SAP, Oracle Cloud, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Credibility as an advisor who can influence CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, CEOs, private equity sponsors, and boards.
- Track record defining enterprise technology strategies, building executive relationships, installing governance, and leading complex transformations in large organizations.
- Demonstrated success recruiting, coaching, developing, and scaling high-performing consulting and delivery teams.
