We are looking for a dedicated Content Developer to join our Education Services team at Ridgeline. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging training materials that help users understand and effectively utilize our software platform. You will work closely with product experts and instructional designers to translate complex technical information into clear, accessible content suitable for a diverse audience. Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and update a wide range of learning materials, including instructional videos, user guides, presentation decks, and eLearning courses, to support various training initiatives for customers, partners, and internal staff.
- Collaborate with senior instructional designers and subject matter experts to implement content strategies and instructional design principles, transforming technical specifications into engaging, easy-to-understand learning content.
- Ensure all training materials are accurate, current, and aligned with product updates by regularly reviewing and revising content within learning management systems and content repositories.
- Use feedback from learners and training metrics to identify areas for improvement, making data-driven adjustments to enhance content clarity, engagement, and overall effectiveness.
- Manage multiple content development projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Leverage AI-powered tools such as Glean and ChatGPT, along with modern content creation platforms like Camtasia, Scribe, Pendo, Navattic, and 360Learning, to streamline content production and improve instructional design processes.
- Promote inclusive learning experiences by designing content that is accessible and engaging for diverse audiences, considering different learning styles and accessibility standards.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and customer success teams, to gather requirements and ensure training materials meet organizational needs.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities to stay current on product developments and best practices in content development.
- Be flexible and adaptable to evolving project scopes and priorities, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
- Occasionally travel domestically, up to 10%, for team meetings, training sessions, or company events, fostering team cohesion and professional development.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in roles related to education, training, instructional design, or content development, such as Instructional Designer, eLearning Developer, or Training Specialist.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging learning content, including videos, guides, and interactive courses, preferably with a portfolio or samples of previous work.
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles, including how to develop clear learning objectives and organize content logically.
- Excellent writing, editing, and information design skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices to ensure content is accessible to all learners.
- Experience with content creation tools such as Camtasia, Scribe, and learning management systems, with a preference for familiarity with 360Learning.
- Comfort using AI tools like Glean and ChatGPT to assist in content development and editing processes.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and platforms in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Willingness to develop knowledge of investment management and fintech industries, as needed.
- A proactive attitude and a genuine interest in creating positive learning experiences and fostering a collaborative work environment.

- Experience working in fintech, investment management, or B2B SaaS education environments.
- A portfolio showcasing instructional content such as videos, eLearning modules, or other digital training materials.

Practical notes
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship. The role is based on-site in San Ramon, CA, and requires a hybrid work arrangement with at least three days per week onsite. The compensation package includes a salary range of $76,000 to $97,000, along with participation in the Company Stock Plan and a comprehensive benefits package that includes unlimited vacation, educational reimbursements, wellness programs, and no-cost employee insurance plans.
