Key facts
What you'll do
- Install kitchen cabinets, countertops, and related remodeling products according to Mad City Windows & Baths standards and procedures
- Perform finish carpentry work as needed for each installation, including trimming, sealing, and touch-up work to ensure a polished final product
- Communicate effectively with homeowners at the conclusion of each project to confirm satisfaction and to explain completed work
- Obtain homeowner signatures and complete job checklists to verify project completion and quality standards are met
- Ensure all installations adhere to safety protocols and building codes, maintaining a safe work environment at all times
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation, including adjusting or modifying components as necessary
- Coordinate with team members and management to plan daily schedules and ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain a clean, organized work site during and after each installation to promote safety and efficiency
- Use proper tools and techniques to ensure high-quality workmanship and durability of installed products
- Keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered for project documentation and future reference
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing homeowner questions or concerns professionally and courteously
- Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and customer interaction
- Assist in training or mentoring new team members as needed to promote team growth and skill development
- Stay updated on product knowledge, installation techniques, and safety standards to improve performance and service quality
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of remodeling, carpentry, or construction experience, with a focus on kitchen or cabinetry work preferred
- Proven experience with kitchen cabinet installation and/or refacing, demonstrating proficiency in handling cabinetry and related components
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, as travel between job sites is required
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with homeowners, team members, and management
- Ability to interpret blueprints, installation instructions, and technical documents accurately
- Physical capability to lift heavy materials, operate power tools, and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Attention to detail to ensure precise measurements, proper fit, and finish work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to reach various job sites across the Kansas City area
- Basic understanding of safety standards and protocols related to construction and carpentry work
- Willingness to adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Flexibility to work within scheduled hours, typically Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime during busy periods
