Cybersecurity Analyst

This position is a Cybersecurity Analyst based in a remote location. The engagement is full-time. The compensation is USD 85,000 per year.
You will safeguard digital assets while owning end-to-end workflow responsibility. Daily tasks involve intake coordination, building secure configurations, and rigorous validation. You will drive releases that strengthen client infrastructure with precise execution.
Key Responsibilities
You will orchestrate intake procedures to classify and route security tickets accurately. You will construct baseline security controls across cloud platforms and containerized environments systematically. You will examine audit artifacts and access patterns to surface configuration risks proactively. You will ship hardened application updates after verification against established quality gates. You will coordinate with partner teams to align security policies with operational requirements. You will implement monitoring rules that detect anomalies in network traffic and user behavior. You will maintain documentation for compliance evidence and incident response procedures. You will mentor junior analysts on secure coding standards and threat modeling practices.
Requirements
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. You bring three years of experience handling security tools and workflows. You understand confidentiality, integrity, and availability principles deeply. You know common threats, vulnerabilities, and basic network protocols thoroughly. You work with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platform services comfortably. You follow ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and OWASP Top 10 guidelines routinely. You communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing. You collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams while staying organized. You apply attention to detail when managing configurations and tracking issues. You learn quickly about AI and emerging technology risks and opportunities.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required. No prior professional experience is required; recent graduates from the last two years are encouraged to apply. Relevant internships, coursework, or projects in cybersecurity, information technology, or risk management will be considered favorably.
Technical Knowledge
A foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts is necessary. This includes confidentiality, integrity, availability; common threats and vulnerabilities; and basic network and web protocols. Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and at least one major platform provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is required through coursework, internships, or self-study. Interest in AI and emerging technologies and their implications is essential. Awareness of common frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and OWASP Top 10 is a plus.
Soft Skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are mandatory. Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities are required. Eagerness to learn, intellectual curiosity, and a committed approach to work are expected. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle concurrent tasks are necessary.
