What you'll do
- Support payroll processing by preparing and entering data into ADP Workforce Now (WFN), including new hires, terminations, and employee changes.
- Support payroll processing by preparing and entering data into ADP Workforce Now (WFN), including pay rate updates and effective-dated changes.
- Support payroll processing by preparing and entering data into ADP Workforce Now (WFN), including one-time earnings such as bonuses, stipends, and adjustments.
- Support payroll processing by preparing and entering data into ADP Workforce Now (WFN), including recurring earnings and deductions.
- Review and validate payroll input files for completeness and accuracy prior to processing to prevent errors.
- Assist with payroll audits by comparing input data to payroll registers and reports to ensure compliance.
- Track and organize payroll-related documentation, ensuring proper recordkeeping and compliance with internal standards.
- Respond to basic employee payroll inquiries and escalate more complex issues to senior team members for resolution.
- Support year-end activities and other administrative payroll projects as requested by the finance team.
- Maintain strong attention to deadlines and ensure all inputs are submitted on time to avoid processing delays.
- Demonstrate adaptability by quickly shifting focus when priorities change within a dynamic operational environment.
- Uphold data confidentiality and security protocols when handling sensitive payroll information.
- Collaborate proactively with cross-functional partners to resolve discrepancies in payroll records.
- Monitor payroll reports to identify inconsistencies and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
- Provide backup support to the payroll team during periods of high volume or extended processing cycles.
Requirements

- This is a part-time role with a commitment of up to 30 hours per week.
- Your schedule must align with the defined working hours that support payroll processing needs.
- You must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with internal stakeholders.
- You must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, for documentation and data management.
- You must have experience with payroll systems or human capital management platforms, specifically ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
- You must be able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and payroll data.
- You must be comfortable working independently and as part of a distributed team.
- You must be detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities accurately.
- You must have prior experience supporting payroll, HR, or finance operations in a professional setting.
- You must be comfortable navigating and learning new processes within a technology-driven environment.
- You must be able to perform routine calculations and verify numerical accuracy in payroll inputs.
- You must be prepared to adhere to Regent's policies and procedures regarding data security and compliance.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting year-end close activities and payroll reporting.
- Familiarity with payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of best practices for audit support and documentation retention.
- Exposure to global payroll considerations or multi-state payroll processing.
- Experience working in a private equity portfolio environment or supporting investment operations.
