What you'll do

• Lead the strategic direction and daily operations of the Facilities team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, compliance standards, and operational readiness.
• Oversee the maintenance and performance of building systems, utilities, and infrastructure, including HVAC systems and lighting solutions.
• Build and manage a high-performing facilities team, addressing priorities, evaluating contractor performance, and resolving escalated issues effectively.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing response times, asset reliability, and overall service quality.
• Supervise capital and expense projects related to facilities, managing the scope, budget, schedule, and coordination with contractors.
• Collaborate with both internal and external teams on new construction projects, tenant improvements, and equipment installations.
• Lead commissioning activities and ensure readiness for the startup of facility systems and infrastructure.
• Develop and manage comprehensive plans and checklists to facilitate smooth transitions from project completion to operational handover.
• Create standardized templates and document requirements for handover packages received from Construction and Design Engineering teams.
• Review and accept turnover documentation, including as-built drawings and training records, ensuring all necessary information is accurate.
• Track and resolve all outstanding issues and deficiencies in a timely manner.
• Support Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) readiness by ensuring all asset information and maintenance documentation is complete and up-to-date.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to facilities performance and maintenance execution to drive accountability.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory standards across all facilities operations.
• Be prepared to travel approximately 30% of the time to support multiple sites across the United States.
• Lead initiatives focused on energy efficiency and sustainability within facilities operations.
• Serve as the site safety leader for facility operations, working closely with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) teams to develop incident response plans.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in facilities management, plant engineering, commissioning, or maintenance within complex manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Demonstrated experience in leading facilities operations with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and reliability.
• Proven background in supporting commissioning, startup, and operational readiness for building systems and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of managing and reviewing handover documentation from construction and design teams is essential.
• Experience in capital project execution, contractor oversight, and cross-functional collaboration is critical.
• Familiarity with building management systems and maintenance planning processes is preferred.
• Experience with CMMS asset setup and the development of preventive maintenance plans is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills are necessary.
• A proactive mindset, sound technical judgment, and a commitment to developing reliable infrastructure are essential traits.
