The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for the short-term organization and planning of maintenance activities, ensuring that the plant operates in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner. This role serves as a vital connection between Operations, Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, and the Spares Team, ensuring that maintenance tasks are effectively prioritized, planned, and executed.

What you'll do

• Develop and oversee daily and weekly maintenance schedules that align with plant priorities and available resources.
• Evaluate, plan, and coordinate maintenance work orders, ensuring that all required labor, materials, tools, permits, and safety protocols are established before commencing work.
• Manage the preventive maintenance program, which includes scheduling, tracking job completion, and refining job plans for efficiency.
• Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Storeroom teams to facilitate the smooth execution of maintenance tasks while minimizing production disruptions.
• Keep track of work order backlogs and monitor adherence to schedules, completion of preventive maintenance tasks, and other key performance indicators to enhance overall reliability.
• Support the coordination of contractors and the implementation of corrective actions based on reliability assessments and root cause analyses.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency.
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities and performance metrics for management review and decision-making.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, maintenance planning, reliability, operations, or a similar field.
• Proficient in utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Limble, SAP, Maximo, Fiix, or Infor.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.

Nice to have

• Experience in sectors such as chemical processing, manufacturing, mining, energy, or heavy industrial operations.
• Certification in Maintenance Planning & Scheduling or equivalent training is advantageous.
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles would be beneficial.
• Previous experience in managing contractors and plant resources effectively.
• Familiarity with industry standards and practices related to maintenance and reliability.

• Proficient in maintenance planning software and tools to streamline operations.
• Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate maintenance processes and performance metrics effectively.
• Competent in using standard office software and equipment for documentation and reporting.
