About the role
The Sr Account Executive for The Points Guy at Red Ventures is a hybrid position that blends strategic account stewardship with proactive new business acquisition. You will operate primarily from our New York City office on a Tuesday through Thursday schedule, while enjoying full remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays to optimize your workflow. This role is pivotal in deepening The Points Guy's footprint within the broader credit card ecosystem by forging meaningful and profitable partnerships. You will own the complete lifecycle of key credit card relationships, ensuring their growth and longevity within the Red Ventures portfolio. Success in this position requires a strategic mindset capable of identifying incremental growth opportunities where others see saturation. You will act as a trusted advisor to both issuers and their agency partners, aligning our media solutions with their commercial objectives. The position demands a high level of ownership, driving initiatives from conception through execution to ensure client satisfaction and revenue expansion.

What you'll do
- Architect and implement comprehensive strategic account plans for major credit card portfolios to drive multi-year growth.
- Prospect and qualify new business opportunities within the financial services sector to expand our credit card partnership network.

- Develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations that leverage our integrated media capabilities to solve partner challenges.
- Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of qualified opportunities using CRM platforms such as Boostr to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Manage the full lifecycle of existing key accounts, including renewals, upsells, and strategic refresh initiatives.
- Collaborate with Integrated Marketing and Sales Enablement teams to refine messaging and identify new market opportunities.
- Represent The Points Guy at industry events and serve as the external face of the credit cards business to senior stakeholders.
- Champion The Points Guy's value proposition within key financial institutions to unlock co-branded and other new distribution opportunities.
- Work closely with agency partners to ensure seamless execution and alignment on shared client goals.
Requirements
- Possess 5-7 years of experience in digital media sales within a quota-driven environment.
- Have a background in financial services, fintech, or credit cards, as this domain expertise is essential for success.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of simultaneously managing existing accounts while actively winning new business.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy and judgment, representing Red Ventures credibly to senior partner and agency stakeholders.
- Exhibit executive presence, sharp negotiation skills, and persuasive communication abilities to influence C-level decision-makers.
- Maintain a history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets across both renewal and new-deal cycles consistently.
- Utilize CRM systems such as Boostr to manage lead-tracking tools and ensure precise forecasting accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Sales Enablement, to achieve shared objectives.
- Understand the mechanics of credit card media sales and possess a familiarity with financial products to engage knowledgeably with clients.
- Adhere to Red Ventures' standards for professionalism and integrity in all client interactions and internal communications.

Practical notes
This is a hybrid role requiring presence in the New York City office on Tuesday through Thursday. Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance, and Flexible Spending Accounts. Compensation details specify a base salary range of $112,000 to $140,000 with a target bonus, and actual figures may vary based on location and qualifications. Employees accrue 20 days of Paid Time Off annually, increasing to 25 days after five years of service. Parental leave includes access to the Paid Parental Bonding Benefit Program.
