Job description
About the role
Senior Vice President of Development Data, Operations, and Technology
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (Ppfa) is the nation's leading provider of high-quality, affordable sexual and reproductive health care for all people. It is also the nation's largest provider of sex education. Planned Parenthood organizations deliver care with compassion, respect, and without judgment to create equitable access to health care. Through health centers, school and community programs, and online resources, Planned Parenthood serves as a trusted source of reliable information that enables people to make informed health decisions. This mission is driven by a passionate commitment to helping people lead healthier lives.
Ppfa is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates. These affiliates operate non-profit health centers across the United States. Ppfa also engages in public education and advocacy on sexual and reproductive health issues. Planned Parenthood Action Fund, a separate 501(c)(4) non-profit membership organization, serves as the advocacy arm of Ppfa. It engages in educational, advocacy, and limited electoral activities, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education to advance the Ppfa mission.
Ppfa seeks to hire a dynamic, data-driven Senior Vice President of Development Data, Operations, and Technology. This is a newly created role designed to elevate development data, operations, and technology as strategic functions. The Senior Vice President will report to the Chief Development Officer in the Development division. This position is the backbone of Planned Parenthood's philanthropic infrastructure. It ensures that fundraising systems are robust, efficient, scalable, and best-in-class. The Senior Vice President will define the strategic roadmap for foundational systems, data architecture, and insights. This role empowers fundraising strategy and builds a cohesive development operations function. It serves both the National Office and Federation fundraising goals.
The Senior Vice President will lead a team of approximately 62 professionals. Planned Parenthood is reimagining its development program and consolidating operations and technology functions. These functions were previously dispersed across multiple fundraising channels. Desired outcomes include improved data quality and governance, increased fundraising efficiency, improved reporting timeliness, reduced manual processing, increased fundraiser adoption of tools, improved donor retention and conversion insights, and strong service-level performance.
