What you'll do
Own the Australia go-to-market strategy by developing and executing a localized marketing playbook that positions Plaud against rising competitors in the professional sector. Lead full-lifecycle campaign execution across public relations, digital, social media, and offline channels, taking responsibility from initial brief through post-campaign performance analysis. Build relationships with Australian trade associations, industry media outlets, and key stakeholders ranging from boardroom executives to trade floor professionals. Work with regional leadership to translate growth targets into channel and budget decisions while reporting on spend efficiency against agreed key performance indicators. Continuously track and benchmark Plaud's brand position against competitors in the Australian market, identifying gaps through data analysis and first-principles thinking. Adapt marketing approaches based on competitive intelligence and performance data to pursue outcomes in brand awareness and pipeline contribution. Develop and manage the full marketing budget for the Australia region, ensuring alignment between spend allocation and measurable business outcomes. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and campaign execution across all touchpoints in the Australian market. Create and maintain performance dashboards that report on brand recall, engagement metrics, and revenue contribution specific to the Australia territory. Establish Plaud as a recognized authority in the professional sector within Australia through strategic thought leadership and targeted outreach programs.
Requirements
Proven track record of building brand authority in professional or business-to-business sectors within the Australian market. Demonstrated experience navigating trade associations, industry media relationships, and corporate stakeholder networks in Australia. Hands-on experience planning and running multi-channel marketing campaigns with full budget ownership and post-campaign performance reporting. Deep understanding of the Australian media landscape, business culture, and professional-sector dynamics and trends. Ability to localize global brand strategy for the Australian market and make independent, data-driven decisions without heavy process structures. Prior experience marketing a hardware or AI-powered consumer or professional product in Australia or the broader Asia-Pacific region. Familiarity with working across cultures, especially with experience at a China-headquartered brand and aligning local market needs with global headquarters priorities. Established professional network within Australian industry bodies and professional organizations that can be activated for brand-building purposes.
Nice to have
Experience managing influencer partnerships or creator collaborations in the professional or B2B space within Australia. Background in product marketing for AI-powered tools or intelligent assistants aimed at knowledge workers and professionals. Exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR compliance frameworks in a marketing or go-to-market context. Familiarity with working in a bootstrapped, fast-growing startup environment where marketing ownership spans multiple functions and regions.
Skills & tools
Proficiency in campaign management platforms and marketing automation tools for multi-channel execution. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into strategic decisions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for public relations, media engagement, and stakeholder presentations. Experience with budget planning, financial reporting, and return-on-investment analysis for marketing spend.
