About the role
Plaud is expanding its global footprint and seeks a sales leader to manage retail and distribution networks across the DACH region and the Nordics. You will drive revenue growth and execute product strategies for our AI-powered hardware and software ecosystem. In this capacity, you own the end-to-end commercial performance of assigned territories, translating corporate objectives into actionable field plans. You are responsible for building and maintaining resilient channel networks that can withstand market fluctuations and competitive pressures. Your work will directly influence the penetration of AI hardware within key retail and specialty channels. You will act as the primary commercial strategist for partners, ensuring alignment between market opportunities and execution capabilities. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions to sustain momentum. You will leverage data to tell compelling stories about market potential and justify strategic investments to stakeholders.

What you'll do
- Analyze revenue, sell-in, and sell-out performance against targets for retail and distribution partners in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Nordics, identifying variances and initiating corrective measures.
- Architect and maintain sophisticated relationships with channel partners, overseeing joint business planning, dynamic inventory management, and synchronized promotional scheduling.
- Orchestrate regional product launches, optimizing pricing strategies and coordinating marketing activations to guarantee strict brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- Synthesize complex sales data, emerging market trends, and inventory movements to generate insightful performance reports and actionable growth recommendations.
- Facilitate seamless coordination with internal departments including Supply Chain, Product, Marketing, and HQ to ensure rigorous alignment on regional goals and timelines.
- Scout for untapped strategic partnerships and novel channel opportunities to expand market share and diversify revenue streams.
- Monitor competitive activity and shifting consumer behavior patterns to refine long-term business development strategies and tactical responses.
- Develop and manage comprehensive territory plans that define objectives, strategies, and resource allocation for sustained commercial success.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create localized campaigns that resonate with regional consumer preferences and retail environments.
- Forecast demand with precision, enabling procurement and logistics teams to optimize stock levels and minimize supply chain disruptions.
- Evaluate the performance of existing channel partners using predefined metrics and provide guidance for improvement or restructuring when necessary.
- Represent Plaud in key industry forums and retail reviews to strengthen partner confidence and elevate brand presence.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks by maintaining a vigilant watch over market dynamics and regulatory changes affecting the DACH and Nordic regions.
- Drive the adoption of sales tools and methodologies that enhance partner efficiency and improve overall commercial outcomes.
Requirements
- Bring 3-5 years of professional experience in channel sales, key account management, or business development, with a proven track record of achieving targets.
- Possess a background in consumer electronics, AI products, smart devices, or high-growth hardware brands, demonstrating relevant industry familiarity.
- Exhibit native-level German proficiency and fluent English skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
- Show documented success in managing distributors and retail accounts, coupled with strong negotiation capabilities that secure favorable terms.
- Apply an analytical mindset to interpret complex sales and inventory data, transforming information into strategic insights.
- Utilize project management skills to navigate the demands of a fast-paced international environment and multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Operate with an independent, hands-on work style, taking full ownership of objectives and driving results without constant supervision.
