You will leverage data and trend analysis to forecast market opportunities and proactively identify expansion points within existing accounts. - Negotiate complex commercial terms and partnership agreements that balance client needs with Pinterest's strategic objectives.
- Conduct rigorous competitive analyses to uncover whitespace opportunities and fortify Pinterest's value proposition against alternative platforms.
- Design and implement client enablement programs that ensure advertisers fully leverage Pinterest's suite of advertising products and features.
- Establish and monitor critical performance indicators, providing clients with transparent, actionable insights into campaign effectiveness.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to relay client feedback and shape future platform innovations.
- Champion the adoption of AI-enhanced tools and methodologies to streamline sales workflows and elevate the precision of client recommendations.
- Mentor junior team members on best practices for relationship building, strategic selling, and data interpretation in the Mid-Market segment.
- Navigate enterprise-level procurement and legal processes to ensure seamless contract execution and compliance.
- Drive the discovery phase of new business pitches, qualifying needs and aligning Pinterest capabilities to solve specific client challenges.
- Foster executive-level relationships that transcend transactional interactions, creating a foundation of mutual trust and strategic alignment.
- Identify adjacent market segments and pivot strategies to capture growth in emerging verticals relevant to Mid-Market advertisers.
- Document and share success stories and case studies that validate Pinterest's impact on business growth and brand awareness.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a proven track record of building long-term partnerships and executing successful negotiations in a sales capacity.
- Bring a performance-based ad sales background, with lower funnel experience, and a demonstrated ability to turn data into actionable next steps.
- Possess extensive experience working with executive-level business and marketing leaders across diverse industries.
- Exhibit analytical thinking skills, with the capacity to transform complex data and market trends into clear, actionable growth strategies.
- Maintain a documented track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals while fostering ongoing partnership growth and satisfaction.
- Thrive in fast-paced, collaborative, and high-performance environments where adaptability and resilience are essential.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, SaaS Sales, or a related field, or possess equivalent practical experience.
- Embrace an AI enthusiast mindset, showing a strong curiosity for and practical application of AI to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and elevate client communications, presentations, and recommendations.
Nice to have
- Preferred experience with AI tools specifically applied to sales processes and client strategy development.
- History of working with video advertising platforms and understanding of creative asset performance.
Practical notes
- In-market focused sales team focused on velocity, expect to be traveling in market 50% of the time.
- This role will need to be in the office or in-market 3 times per week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from our Chicago office.
