What you'll do
- Lead the product development lifecycle for billing solutions, from ideation to launch, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to define product requirements and specifications that meet business objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new features within the billing domain.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap that prioritizes initiatives based on customer feedback, business impact, and technical feasibility.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to billing products, analyzing data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, validate product concepts, and ensure that solutions meet user needs.
- Manage relationships with external partners and vendors to integrate third-party billing solutions and services as necessary.
- Facilitate cross-departmental communication to ensure all teams are aligned on product goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Prepare and present product updates and performance reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Champion the adoption of best practices in product management, including agile methodologies and user-centered design principles.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that could impact billing processes and strategies.
- Mentor junior product team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management, specifically within billing or financial technology sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing billing products or services.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Familiarity with agile product development methodologies and tools, such as Jira or Trello.
- Experience with billing systems, payment processing, and subscription management is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience in the media, publishing, or digital content industries.
- Knowledge of international billing practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Tableau.
- Previous experience working in a SaaS (Software as a Service) environment.
