About the role
You will architect and implement the supplier and manufacturer quality strategy for Peloton's Taiwan-based manufacturing ecosystem. This role owns the end-to-end quality performance of all external partners, ensuring products meet stringent company standards and regulatory expectations. You will establish a robust quality management system that drives predictability, accountability, and operational excellence across the supply chain. You will act as the primary quality leader interfacing with contract manufacturers and key suppliers to resolve complex issues. Your work will directly enable new product introductions and protect the brand integrity of products delivered to consumers. You will mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a data-driven culture that champions continuous improvement. This position requires strategic vision to align global quality objectives with local execution in Taiwan. You will leverage data and risk-based thinking to prioritize resources where they generate the highest impact.

What you'll do
Develop and execute the local supplier and contract manufacturer quality strategy aligned with Peloton's business objectives and growth plans.
Establish quality governance, metrics, and performance management systems to track supplier and contract manufacturer performance over time.
Drive risk-based supplier segmentation and oversight models to focus resources on critical partners and high-risk areas.
Serve as the executive quality representative for all Taiwan-based manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.
Ensure supplier and contract manufacturer compliance with Peloton quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and performance monitoring processes to build a reliable and capable supply base.
Oversee supplier audits, including on-site and remote assessments, and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to close critical gaps.
Establish and manage supplier scorecards and KPIs such as PPM, on-time delivery, cost of poor quality, and audit findings.
Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure robust quality planning during new product introduction (NPI).
Drive APQP and PPAP (or equivalent) processes at suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure readiness for mass production.
Ensure smooth product transfer into manufacturing with clear quality gates, controls, and ownership of all documentation.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for supplier-related quality issues using structured methodologies.
Implement structured problem-solving frameworks like 8D, DMAIC, and other tools to resolve complex quality challenges.
Proactively identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect production and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Life Sciences, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Possess a minimum of ten years of progressive experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or a related field, with at least three years in a leadership role.
Demonstrate extensive experience managing supplier quality for complex hardware and manufacturing environments.
Have a proven track record of working with contract manufacturers and managing multi-site supplier relationships.
Show strong expertise with quality management systems, including but not limited to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and medical device or regulatory standards where applicable.
Exhibit advanced proficiency in statistical process control, data analysis, and the use of quality metrics to drive decisions.
Demonstrate mastery of APQP/PPAP frameworks or equivalent new product introduction methodologies in a manufacturing context.
Have experience leading supplier audits and driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to closure.
Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese to effectively communicate with global and local stakeholders.
Be willing to travel domestically and internationally as required to perform supplier audits, reviews, and business visits.
Nice to have
Experience in the fitness, consumer, electronics, or medical device industries.
Background in high-volume manufacturing and lean operations.
Knowledge of ERP, QMS, and supplier management software systems.
Experience with advanced quality tools such as Design FMEA, Process FMEA, and SPC.
Familiarity with sourcing and procurement processes in a global environment.
Practical notes
This role requires domestic and international travel to perform supplier audits, manufacturing reviews, and business visits.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Taiwan without sponsorship.
