About the role

The hire will research, design, and develop artificial intelligence and machine learning models to solve business challenges and enable machines to simulate human intelligence through perception, reasoning, learning, and decision-making capabilities. They will identify and evaluate opportunities for leveraging AI technologies across the organization, assess existing workflows, and recommend AI-driven solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and business outcomes. The role involves collecting, preparing, and preprocessing data from various sources for model training, including data cleaning, feature engineering, exploratory analysis, and establishing data pipelines to support continuous improvement. They will train, validate, and optimize AI models using appropriate algorithms, frameworks, and evaluation metrics to ensure robustness, performance, and accuracy while mitigating biases and ensuring ethical AI practices. The hire will integrate AI solutions into existing systems, applications, and workflows by developing APIs, microservices, or interfaces that enable seamless deployment and scalability in production environments. They will monitor and maintain deployed AI models through performance tracking, troubleshooting, and iterative improvements to ensure continued effectiveness and alignment with business objectives. The hire will collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences. They will also complete other duties as assigned to support organizational priorities.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Execute pilot projects to validate AI concepts, conduct experiments, and document results to support business cases and implementation planning.
• Conduct literature reviews and benchmark analyses to stay current with emerging AI techniques, tools, and frameworks relevant to business problems.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and model evaluation criteria in collaboration with product owners and domain experts.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for models, data pipelines, and integration interfaces to ensure reproducibility and knowledge transfer.
• Support model deployment through containerization, orchestration, and cloud-based infrastructure where applicable.
• Perform root cause analysis for model performance issues and iterate on solutions to improve reliability and user trust.
• Other duties as assigned to meet team goals and organizational needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.
• Up to 2+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical AI solutions.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for AI development, such as Python or R.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with model evaluation metrics, validation strategies, and bias mitigation practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid, remote-office environment and collaborate with distributed teams.
