Technical Training Instructor

About the role

You own the full learning journey for healthcare equipment, designing sessions, guiding users, and ensuring teams can operate systems correctly in hospital settings. You combine instructional expertise with technical troubleshooting to support service operations and customer success. This position requires approximately 25 percent travel to customer sites, training locations, and other business locations as needed. You will act as the primary instructional link between complex device functionality and the clinicians who rely on these systems in critical care environments. Every module you develop must directly support safe and effective device utilization in real world patient scenarios. You will be responsible for closing knowledge gaps between technical documentation and hands on clinical application. This role demands a high level of ownership over the learner experience from initial contact through post session support. Your work will directly influence the reliability and efficiency of equipment use across the healthcare network served by PartsSource.

What you'll do

Setting up labs and training spaces so learners can practice on devices safely and effectively. You prepare classrooms, laboratories, and equipment to ensure successful course delivery and a professional learning environment.

Leading guided sessions that walk clinicians through complex equipment workflows in operating rooms and patient care areas. You translate technical manuals into clear language that new users can apply during their first patient interactions.

Designing step-by-step guides and job aids that help teams understand device logic without overloading working memory. You develop instructional materials including presentations, syllabi, handouts, laboratory exercises, examinations, quizzes, evaluations, and multimedia content.

Coordinating with service teams to align training schedules, equipment availability, and real world support scenarios. You ensure service requests, repairs, installations, and maintenance activities are completed accurately and in accordance with established standards.

Translating technical manuals into clear language that new users can apply during their first patient interactions. You analyze service trends and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.

Partnering with vendors to validate that training content reflects current device capabilities and regulatory expectations. You develop and deliver technical training programs in assigned modalities and areas of expertise while maintaining comprehensive knowledge of applicable curriculum, equipment, technologies, and industry best practices.

Reviewing assessment results to identify gaps and then adjusting activities so outcomes match operational requirements. You evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.

Shipping practical learning modules that integrate into hospital orientation programs and ongoing competency tracking. You coordinate training schedules and logistics with internal departments to ensure seamless program delivery.

Developing hands on exercises that mirror actual device failure modes and maintenance procedures to build technician confidence. You facilitate troubleshooting workshops that reinforce diagnostic reasoning and systematic problem solving.

Maintaining an up to date inventory of training consumables and equipment status to prevent disruptions during scheduled learning events. You document all training delivery metrics to support continuous improvement of the instructional program.

Requirements

You must hold high school completion or equivalent documentation as proof of foundational knowledge. You need 3 years of experience in clinical or technical training roles within healthcare or related fields.

You must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences in fast paced settings. You need familiarity with medical device concepts, service processes, and parts management terminology.

You must pass background checks and meet travel requirements for onsite visits across multiple customer locations.
