You will collaborate closely with finance leadership to identify, plan, and execute critical process transformation and improvement initiatives within the enterprise accounting function. This role owns the oversight of financial operations enhancement, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all accounting activities. You will serve on cross-functional project teams, providing essential accounting guidance for diverse business initiatives and new strategic projects. The position requires the creation and design of robust data models that drive efficiency in period close processes and support ad hoc reporting demands. You will conduct complex technical accounting research and prepare comprehensive documentation to support treatments, disclosures, and conclusions. Ultimately, you will act as a catalyst for change, leveraging your expertise to solve intricate customer and internal problems while ensuring the organization's accounting functions operate at the highest level of integrity and performance.

- Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making across transactional accounting and operational teams.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and improvement to reduce manual effort and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage multi-entity reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes with precision and timeliness.
- Contribute expertise in auditing private equity-backed companies operating within dynamic and high-growth environments.
- Ensure all financial reporting compilations adhere strictly to GAAP principles and associated regulatory requirements.
- Leverage proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, alongside familiarity with ERP systems and large-scale data sets.
Requirements
- You possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and hold a CPA certification or are actively pursuing the credential.
- You bring a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a proven track record in public accounting or corporate environments.
- You have direct experience with multi-entity consolidations, complex journal entries, and end-to-end month-end close cycle management.
- You have worked extensively with auditing private equity-backed companies within fast-paced and growth-oriented settings.
- You demonstrate exceptional skill in analyzing financial data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- You are well-versed in compiling financial reports in strict accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- You exhibit strong capabilities in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel proficiency, and are comfortable working with enterprise resource planning systems.
- You showcase superior customer service, organizational, and time management abilities, with a proven capacity to prioritize competing deadlines effectively.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Oracle NetSuite is highly valued.
- Experience with advanced data analytics tools or automation platforms like Alteryx or Power BI is preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle or medical device distribution accounting is advantageous.
- Understanding of ASC 606 and lease accounting standards under ASC 842 is beneficial.
- Prior involvement in business process reengineering or digital transformation initiatives within finance functions is a plus.

- This role may require travel between Charlotte, Cleveland, and Hoffman Estates locations as needed for project support.
