What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain robust IT systems that support the operational needs of Bamboohr.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Collaborate with software development teams to integrate new applications and services into the existing infrastructure.
• Manage and optimize cloud services, ensuring scalability and security for our applications.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Implement security protocols and best practices to safeguard sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct regular system audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to succeed.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend enhancements and innovations to our IT systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT system engineering or a similar role.
• Proficiency in managing and configuring Windows and Linux server environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Knowledge of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive attitude towards continuous learning and professional development.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices for IT service management.
