What you'll do

• Design and implement scalable backend systems using the .Net framework to support our applications and services.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices in software development.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality standards and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a timely manner to maintain system reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs that facilitate communication between the backend and frontend components.
• Optimize existing systems and processes for performance and scalability, ensuring they can handle increased loads as the user base grows.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and proactively suggest improvements to our technology stack.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to foster a collaborative team environment.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow their technical skills and advance their careers.
• Document technical specifications, architecture designs, and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and maintainability.
• Engage with the DevOps team to streamline deployment processes and enhance continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on .Net technologies.
• Proficiency in C# and the .Net framework, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including writing complex queries and optimizing database performance.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation, as well as experience in integrating third-party services.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum, and experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies and frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, particularly in deploying and managing applications.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g., React, Angular) to facilitate better collaboration with frontend teams.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and practices to ensure code quality and reliability.
