As a Senior Middle Office professional at Otcflow, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of our trading operations. What you'll do

• Oversee the trade lifecycle management process, ensuring that all trades are accurately captured and processed in a timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with the front office to provide support on trade execution, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain robust reconciliation processes to ensure the accuracy of trade data between internal systems and external counterparties.
• Analyze trade discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly, minimizing operational risk.
• Develop and enhance middle office procedures and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational errors.
• Prepare and present regular reports on trade activity and operational performance to senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
• Act as a liaison between the front office, back office, and IT departments to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration on system enhancements and upgrades.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure that the middle office operations remain compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Mentor and train junior staff members, providing guidance on best practices and operational processes.
• Participate in project initiatives aimed at improving the overall efficiency of the trading operations and middle office functions.
• Support the development and implementation of new trading strategies by providing operational insights and feedback.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a middle office or trade support role within the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments, including derivatives, fixed income, and equities.
• Proven experience in trade lifecycle management and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements affecting trade operations and reporting.
• Proficient in using trading and risk management systems, as well as Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python or SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of trade reporting platforms and regulatory frameworks, such as EMIR or MiFID II.
• Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a middle office environment.
