Key facts
What you'll do
Lead and deliver complex consulting engagements for clients across the financial services sector, including banking, insurance, wealth management, capital markets, and payments.
Advise clients on strategy, operating model design, business transformation, process improvement, change management, and project execution, ensuring alignment with their strategic goals.
Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and serve as a key point of contact throughout engagements, fostering strong communication and collaboration.
Manage workplans, project risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and overall delivery quality to ensure successful outcomes and on-time delivery.
Lead workshops, interviews, and working sessions to assess current-state processes, identify opportunities, and define practical, actionable recommendations for improvement.
Support business development activities including proposal development, client presentations, solution shaping, and thought leadership to drive growth and client engagement.
Translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable plans and measurable results that address specific client needs and objectives.
Collaborate across internal teams and practices to bring the best of the firm's capabilities to each client engagement, leveraging collective expertise.
Contribute to practice development by helping refine methodologies, tools, intellectual property, and market offerings within the Financial Services Group to maintain a competitive edge.
Provide day-to-day direction, coaching and mentoring project teams, while also being responsible for career management, professional development, and supporting employees through Optimus SBR's Career Development Program (CDP).
Contribute to the life and culture of Optimus SBR by participating in firm-wide initiatives and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Leverage data and insights to drive decision-making and demonstrate the impact of recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders effectively.
Maintain a strong focus on continuous improvement, identifying best practices and implementing changes that enhance service delivery and team performance.
Act as an ambassador for Optimus SBR, representing the firm's values and reputation in all client and professional interactions.
Requirements
7-10+ years of progressive experience in management consulting, financial services, or a combination of both, demonstrating a deep commitment to the profession.
Demonstrated experience leading workstreams or full projects involving transformation, strategy, regulatory, operations, technology, or process improvement initiatives within financial services.
Strong knowledge of one or more FSG domains such as retail banking, commercial banking, capital markets, payments, insurance, wealth management, risk, finance, or operations, ensuring relevance to client needs.
Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and navigate complex, fast-paced client environments with professionalism and resilience.
Strong project management capabilities, with experience managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and team delivery to meet and exceed expectations.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to synthesize findings into compelling presentations and recommendations that drive action.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to diagnosing issues and developing innovative solutions.
