What you'll do
Conduct deep discovery sessions with client stakeholders to frame complex business challenges and define the scope of work.
Lead the development of comprehensive workplans, ensuring alignment with client timelines, resource allocation, and quality standards.
Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis to uncover insights, validate assumptions, and identify high-impact opportunities for improvement.
Design future-state operating models, processes, and governance frameworks that are pragmatic, scalable, and aligned with client strategy.
Facilitate cross-functional workshops and structured interviews to gather requirements, build consensus, and validate solution design options.
Produce clear, concise, and visually compelling deliverables, including business cases, process maps, financial models, and presentation decks.
Translate complex regulatory and market dynamics into practical recommendations that address client pain points and risk profiles.
Coordinate project logistics, including scheduling, status reporting, and risk and issue management, to ensure on-time delivery.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client leaders to ensure continuous feedback and successful adoption of solutions.
Conduct targeted industry, competitive, and benchmarking research to inform strategic decisions and best practices.
Support the scoping and resourcing of engagements, including proposal development, effort estimation, and solution positioning.
Mentor junior consultants by providing day-to-day direction, coaching, and career development support through Optimus SBR's Career Development Program.
Champion knowledge sharing within the team by contributing to methodologies, tools, and reusable assets for the Financial Services Group.
Represent Optimus SBR in client interactions, demonstrating confidence, professionalism, and strategic thinking at all times.
Drive continuous improvement within the practice by identifying gaps and implementing enhancements to delivery quality and efficiency.
Requirements
6+ years of progressive experience in management consulting, financial services, business transformation, strategy, operations, project delivery, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience leading project workstreams or coordinating teams in a consulting, financial services, or complex corporate environment.
Strong understanding of the financial services industry, including one or more of banking, capital markets, insurance, payments, and wealth management.
Solid knowledge of current business trends, regulatory pressures, and competitive dynamics impacting financial services organizations.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to evaluating issues and developing solutions.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies, including planning, tracking, and risk management.
Ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels, from individual contributors to senior leadership.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering error-free, client-ready work products.
Demonstrated experience in developing and presenting to senior executive audiences.
Willingness to travel as required to support client engagements, which may include occasional domestic or international travel.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while also taking ownership of individual responsibilities and outcomes.
