What you'll do

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate integration points between various healthcare systems and applications.
• Collaborate with software developers to understand integration requirements and ensure that test scenarios align with the intended functionality.
• Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard tools, ensuring that all issues are communicated effectively to the development team.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to provide input on testability and integration concerns early in the development process.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage, utilizing tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting areas of concern and recommending improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing and healthcare integration.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on testing methodologies and tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that integration testing aligns with overall project timelines and deliverables.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist in the development of training materials and documentation for end-users and internal teams regarding integration processes and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on integration testing.
• Strong understanding of healthcare integration standards such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and defect tracking systems.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript).
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to think critically about complex integration scenarios.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in the healthcare technology sector, particularly with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Knowledge of cloud-based integration solutions and APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
