About the role
Onebrief is actively seeking a Partner Engagement Manager to oversee the U.S. European Command account, owning the entire customer relationship from end-users up to Generals and Admirals. The hire will be responsible for driving deep and broad adoption of the Onebrief platform, ensuring that nearly 100% of critical military planning workflows are transitioned into the software. This role requires clear communication of user needs directly to the product team while simultaneously instilling the Onebrief brand as a trusted partner in operational environments. The manager will enable expansion efforts across Allied nations and partner organizations, taking full ownership of the relationship beyond a standard job description. Success in this position means you are intensely mission-focused, proactive in navigating bureaucracy, and adaptable to complex, high-stakes situations. You will lead or support field exercises, using direct observations to recommend product improvements that enhance user experience. A core part of the role involves providing both face-to-face and remote customer support, resolving incidents swiftly, and coordinating with engineering teams. The individual must develop a keen understanding of customer social dynamics to support renewals and future sales initiatives within the defense sector.

What you'll do
Lead and own the end-to-end relationship with the U.S. European Command account, managing interactions with planners at the operator level and strategic leaders at the highest ranks.
Drive the expansion of product usage within the command until nearly all critical military planning workflows are executed inside the Onebrief platform.
Translate complex user requirements into clear product feedback, ensuring the engineering team understands the needs of warfighters and decision-makers.
Cultivate and embody the Onebrief brand image as a reliable, technically proficient, and mission-focused partner for military customers.
Enable and support the expansion of Onebrief capabilities to Allied nations and international defense partners through tailored engagement strategies.
Assume responsibility for a wide range of operational tasks beyond standard job descriptions, contributing wherever the team requires support.
Lead or provide direct support during military exercises and planning events to demonstrate product value and gather real-time user insights.
Observe user behavior and interactions to identify friction points and recommend actionable product improvements that increase adoption and satisfaction.
Deliver exceptional face-to-face and remote customer support, acting as the primary point of contact for account-related inquiries and issues.
Analyze customer social and organizational dynamics to inform retention strategies, renewals, and future sales opportunities within the defense community.
Respond swiftly during product incidents, coordinating directly with customers and internal engineering teams to restore functionality and maintain trust.
Demonstrate mastery of operational planning processes at multi-star headquarters, ensuring communication flows effectively with senior leaders.
Use technical proficiency to become a power user of the platform, enabling meaningful dialogue with engineering teams about implementation and capabilities.
Build strong interpersonal relationships, cultivating trust and aligning diverse perspectives among planners, staff officers, and decision-makers.
Maintain intense focus on the mission, demonstrating commitment to operational success through reliable support and proactive problem-solving.
Requirements
You hold a current Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and possess the ability to access Department of Defense facilities and installations.
You are based in person in Stuttgart, Germany, reflecting a long-term commitment to the U.S. European Command mission.
You have a proven track record of working successfully with large military headquarters and understand the nuances of planning at that level.
You are deeply familiar with the structure and culture of skillful planners, including graduates from SAMS, JAWS, or SAW programs at the O-4 to O-6 rank.
You command respect from military professionals, including Generals and Admirals, and are able to navigate complex bureaucratic environments effectively.
You demonstrate extraordinary attention to detail, ensuring that critical tasks are completed accurately and reliably.
You have experience overcoming rigid government processes, such as securing unusual administrative access to classified networks like JWICS to support technical troubleshooting.
You are technically adept and capable of rapidly mastering complex software products without requiring formal coding knowledge.
You possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust, communicate with clarity, and influence stakeholders across military organizations.
You are intensely passionate about the company mission and willing to go above and beyond to support both customers and the team.
