What you'll do

• Develop detailed structural drawings and layouts using Revit, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Investigate structural design principles and apply best practices to improve project outcomes and efficiency.
• Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure consistency and correctness.
• Maintain organized records of all project documentation, including revisions, calculations, and correspondence.
• Mentor and assist junior staff members, providing guidance on drafting standards and project procedures.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet expectations.
• Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and updates on drafting progress.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of drafting standards, workflows, and quality control procedures.
• Ensure all work adheres to relevant building codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Support project deadlines by managing workload effectively and prioritizing tasks.
• Assist in troubleshooting design issues and proposing practical solutions during the drafting process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural drafting and/or design, with demonstrated proficiency in Revit and other BIM/CAD software.
• An associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if equivalent experience is demonstrated.
• Strong knowledge of structural detailing, building systems, and construction documentation standards.
• Experience working on projects in sectors such as healthcare, education, data centers, or commercial development is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to produce precise and comprehensive drawings.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the capacity to develop practical solutions to complex drafting challenges.
