What you'll do
Analyze financial and operational data to evaluate the viability and strategic fit of potential M&A targets in engineering and design sectors.
Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support valuation, scenario analysis, and assessment of synergies for potential transactions.
Lead post-close integration tracking, covering realization metrics, purchase accounting reconciliation, and performance versus the deal thesis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical, development, sales, and product, to gather inputs and align on strategic objectives.
Create dashboards and visualizations to monitor deal metrics, market trends, and key performance indicators for ongoing decision support.
Perform quantitative analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and financial implications of various strategic options.
Support due diligence processes by validating data, identifying inconsistencies, and summarizing findings for executive review.
Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda, pitch books, and board-level materials to communicate recommendations effectively.
Apply data analysis methods to track deal pipeline health, conversion rates, and profitability trends over time.
Champion the improvement of recurring analytical reports and processes, ensuring clarity, efficiency, and actionable insights for stakeholders.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related field is required.
A minimum of 4 years' experience within public accounting and mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, corporate finance or a related field is required.
A demonstrated quantitative and analytical mindset is required.
The ability to work in fast-paced environments while managing competing priorities is required.
Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset are required.
Occasional travel as needed is required.
Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and analytical problem-solving is essential.
Experience with collaboration tools to support cross-functional teamwork is essential.
Ability to apply data analysis methods to track deal metrics and trends is essential.
