Senior Manager, Tax and Filings
Job description
About the role
Numeral is transforming how taxes get done in the digital economy, tackling a complex web of regulations across 47 states and 70+ countries to eliminate burden so teams can focus on their core mission. As the largest and fastest-growing AI-native tax solution started in 2023, the company has raised over $57M from top-tier investors like Benchmark, Mayfield, and Y-Combinator, serving over 3,000 paying customers while tripling revenue every year in its history. This role demands ownership of operational excellence, process discipline, and accuracy across a growing team of approximately 50, including offshore contractors, blending operational leadership, process architecture, and people management. The hire will drive the design and refinement of workflows, ensure compliance and accuracy in filings, troubleshoot accounting discrepancies, and partner cross-functionally to solve business issues and escalate risks with product and engineering. Success in this position means scaling processes to reduce repetitive tasks, maximizing automation for high-leverage opportunities, and fostering a culture of accountability within the filings organization. The role is critical for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of tax filing operations in a high-growth startup environment that values speed, ownership, and customer obsession.
