About the role
Nscale is building next-generation AI infrastructure designed for the demands of modern compute. We partner with leading technology companies to deliver scalable, high-performance infrastructure solutions that power AI innovation globally. As we continue expanding across Asia, we are seeking a highly capable Translator to support cross-border communication and collaboration across our international teams, clients, and partners. The Translator will own the linguistic and cultural accuracy of all messaging flowing between Korean, English, and Mandarin environments. You will ensure that technical intent survives translation without loss across documents and discussions. You will act as the primary linguistic bridge for executive and engineering exchanges in Seoul. This role demands ownership of complex, sensitive, and high-stakes communications with precision and discretion. You will directly enable faster, clearer decision-making for cross-regional initiatives. Your work will have a direct impact on the speed and quality of Nscale's partnerships across APAC and global markets.

What you'll do
Translate written and verbal communications between English, Mandarin, and Korean with accuracy and cultural relevance for business, technical, legal, and commercial contexts.
Provide simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conference calls, workshops, and high-level negotiations to ensure real-time alignment.
Localize business, technical, legal, and operational documents while preserving tone, terminology, and intent across versions.
Maintain a consistent vocabulary and messaging framework across all translated materials and language pairs.
Identify and resolve ambiguities in source content before translation to prevent misinterpretation by stakeholders.
Act as a cultural advisor to regional and global teams, facilitating collaboration and reducing friction in cross-border interactions.
Coordinate closely with executives, project teams, vendors, and external partners across multiple time zones to support schedules and deliverables.
Handle sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information with strict adherence to privacy and security standards.
Support the planning and execution of regional business initiatives, partner engagements, and customer communications.
Proofread and review translated materials for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with Nscale's positioning and brand voice.
Assist in the creation of presentation decks, reports, contracts, and marketing collateral in all three languages.
Document translation workflows, glossaries, and decisions to ensure continuity and scalability of the function.
Contribute feedback on language-related friction points to product and operations teams for continuous improvement.
Participate in on-call or rotation duties to cover urgent translation needs across business units as requested.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Business/Translation/Linguistics, Communications or equivalent.
Experience in supporting Technology, infrastructure, AI, cloud or Data Centre industries.
Prior experience working in multi-national or high growth environment start-up environment.
Familiar with technical documentation and commercial agreements.
Ability to do simultaneous translation across English and Korean and/or Mandarin will be a plus to be able to translate across different countries.
Ability to travel extensively within Korea.
Strong understanding of business context, commercial terms, and contractual language across Korean, English, and Mandarin.
Demonstrated ability to work accurately under tight deadlines in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in all three languages with proven professionalism.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with integrity.
Willingness to adapt to evolving priorities, shifting stakeholder needs, and changing project scopes.
Capacity to collaborate effectively with remote and regional teams using digital communication tools.
Openness to feedback and proactive ownership of translation quality and process improvements.
Nice to have
Prior experience in AI, cloud infrastructure, or data centre terminology.
Familiarity with localization tools, translation memory systems, and glossary management platforms.
Experience supporting cross-functional workshops and large-scale meetings.
Practical notes
This role may require extensive travel within South Korea for meetings and partner engagements.
Candidates must be able to obtain necessary work authorization and visas for South Korea if required.
