About the role
You will own the end-to-end material control processes for the Monarch Compute Campus in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, ensuring that the construction of this major AI infrastructure project proceeds without logistical interruption. You will manage the physical receipt and precise tracking of high-value construction materials, including generators, switchgear, transformers, cooling systems, and IT equipment. The role requires you to enforce strict inventory discipline and maintain data integrity across project systems to protect the schedule and budget. You will act as the primary interface between vendors, logistics providers, and on-site construction teams to resolve issues quickly. Your work will directly support the timely deployment of critical equipment by coordinating just-in-time deliveries and preventing storage bottlenecks. You will maintain comprehensive records that serve project finance, insurance, and warranty requirements while adhering to compliance standards. This position offers the chance to develop and refine material control processes while mentoring a local West Virginia team. Your contributions will help ensure that Nscale's flagship AI campus meets its ambitious construction and commissioning milestones.

What you'll do
Manage the receiving and inspection of all materials and equipment at the Monarch site, verifying shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
Coordinate the physical receipt of deliveries, conduct quality inspections, and process non-conformance reports to resolve discrepancies with vendors and logistics partners.
Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle, as well as project-specific tracking tools like Procore.
Organize and manage on-site laydown yards and control the storage of sensitive, high-value construction items.
Perform regular cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and support financial and compliance reporting.
Release materials and equipment to construction teams and EPC contractors according to the project schedule.
Coordinate just-in-time deliveries for critical items such as Caterpillar generators, Powell switchgear, transformers, and major mechanical and electrical components.
Work closely with site planning leadership to anticipate material needs and avert construction delays caused by missing or late deliveries.
Maintain complete and auditable records for all material transactions to support project finance, insurance, and warranty claims.
Partner with the Document Control function to ensure that certificates, test reports, and OEM documentation are properly filed and retrievable.
Support customs, tax, and import compliance for any imported equipment and related documentation.
Refine material control processes, storage layouts, and associated tooling to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
Develop a local West Virginia team by providing hands-on training to new hires and apprentices in material handling and control procedures.
Utilize core systems such as SAP, Oracle, and Procore to track inventory, generate reports, and ensure data integrity.
Leverage experience with Caterpillar, Powell, Babcock & Wilcox, and other heavy industrial equipment to manage assets through receipt, storage, and issuance.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in material control, warehousing, or site logistics within large-scale industrial, power, oil & gas, or data center construction.
Proven hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle and project management tools like Procore.
Familiarity with the receiving, preservation, and warranty management of construction equipment and related components.
Exceptional organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset capable of performing effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with tradespeople, contractors, and project leadership.
The ability to work full-time on-site in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.
Strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies while managing high-value materials in a construction setting.
Reliability and the capacity to manage multiple priorities with accuracy under tight project timelines.
Nice to have
Current OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
Certification for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Practical notes
This position requires a full-time, on-site presence in Point Pleasant, WV.
