About the role
You own the end-to-end financial and administrative oversight of multiple data center construction projects across North America, ensuring every project stays aligned with budget, schedule, and strategic objectives. You partner directly with the VP of Commercial Management (Project Controls), Project Managers, and Cost Managers to drive rigorous financial control and accurate, timely reporting. In a high-intensity, fast-moving environment, you will exercise strong judgment to identify risks early, challenge assumptions, and safeguard project value. You will set up new projects from due diligence through delivery, streamline processes, and introduce improvements that boost efficiency and transparency. Your role demands clear communication across design, procurement, construction, and safety teams, translating complex data into actionable insights. You take pride in maintaining compliance, protecting company policies, and supporting strategic outcomes around cost management, innovation, and environmental responsibility.

What you'll do
- Project Setup - Assist in the administrative setup and documentation for new projects, supporting the team from due diligence through project delivery.
- Stakeholder Support - Provide dedicated support and tracking for the project management team and other internal stakeholders, including Design, Equipment Procurement, Construction Management, and Health & Safety.
- Cost Management - Track and maintain a clear view of commitments and costs against the project's established budget baseline.
- Invoicing & Payment - Administer requisitions, process invoices, manage Purchase Orders (POs), and coordinate payments to vendors.
- Tracking & Reporting - Maintain budget tracking tools, perform detailed cost tracking, and work with Cost Managers to produce financial forecasts and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Issue Identification - Continuously monitor the project's financial and scheduling factors, identifying and clearly expressing any concerns or deviations from the baseline.
- Compliance - Ensure project financial activities comply with company policies and financial regulations.
- Process Improvement - Recommend and implement improvements to project processes, increasing efficiency and strengthening controls.
Requirements
- Education - A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Engineering, or Construction Management is typically preferred.
- Experience - Proven experience in project financial control, cost management, and project administration.
- Technical Skills - Proficient understanding and hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Suite are required. Familiarity with common project management systems is a plus.
- Core Competencies - Strong analytical skills, numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with key requirements in understanding data center construction. Ability to communicate effectively across a number of different business functions.
