About the role
You will own the end to end delivery of data and artificial intelligence initiatives for clients across Latin America, shaping strategy and translating business needs into technical roadmaps. You will partner closely with C level stakeholders to define long term data visions, ensuring that every solution aligns with measurable business outcomes and enterprise grade governance. You will evangelise responsible AI and data ethics, embedding transparency and fairness into the solutions you design while mentoring teams with your expertise. You will act as a technical thought leader, evaluating emerging tools and methodologies to keep Nortal at the forefront of the data and AI revolution. You will drive cross functional collaboration, orchestrating efforts between data scientists, engineers, and commercial teams to deliver integrated platforms. You will champion a culture of continuous learning, encouraging experimentation and knowledge sharing across the LATAM remote network. You will own the client narrative, articulating complex concepts in clear language that resonates with both executives and practitioners.

What you'll do
Define and own the data and AI strategy for assigned client portfolios, aligning initiatives with business objectives and regulatory landscapes.
Architect scalable data platforms and AI solutions, selecting technologies that maximise value while managing complexity and risk.
Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to uncover opportunities, framing problems and designing outcomes that drive measurable impact.
Translate ambiguous business challenges into clear product backlogs, prioritising workstreams that deliver the highest strategic and operational value.
Champion data quality and governance, establishing standards that enable trusted analytics and reliable machine learning model performance.
Build and nurture cross functional teams, coordinating efforts between data engineers, scientists, and commercial stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
Act as the primary point of contact for executive sponsors, providing thought leadership and steering discussions on data maturity and digital transformation.
Evaluate and pilot emerging tools, assessing their applicability and ROI for client contexts while maintaining a pragmatic, outcome focused mindset.
Drive the adoption of responsible AI frameworks, ensuring transparency, fairness, and compliance with evolving ethical standards.
Mentor and upskill internal teams, sharing best practices and fostering a culture where data and AI become core strategic assets.
Own the commercial narrative for data and AI offerings, articulating value propositions that resonate with diverse client audiences.
Continuously monitor industry trends and competitor activity, feeding insights into product and service development to keep Nortal's offerings relevant and compelling.
Requirements
You must have a proven track record of leading data and AI initiatives in complex enterprise environments, demonstrating delivery excellence and stakeholder trust.
You possess deep expertise in data platforms, machine learning, and analytics ecosystems, with hands on experience across the full lifecycle of data products.
You hold strong leadership capabilities, guiding multidisciplinary teams through ambiguity while maintaining focus on outcomes and client value.
You are fluent in both technical and business languages, able to bridge gaps between technologists and executive decision makers.
You have a demonstrated commitment to responsible AI and data ethics, integrating these principles into solution design and governance frameworks.
You bring experience working across Latin American markets, understanding regional nuances, regulations, and cultural dynamics that shape data strategies.
You have a history of building and mentoring high performing teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement in hybrid work settings.
You hold a university degree in a relevant discipline or possess equivalent practical experience that demonstrates mastery of data and AI domains.
Nice to have
Experience with cloud platforms and modern data stack implementations would be advantageous, as would familiarity with regulated industry contexts.

This is a hybrid role with flexibility for remote work across Latin America, coordinated through our LATAM remote team practices.
