What you'll do

Architect resilient frontend modules using Java and AEM best practices, ensuring each module meets functional and non-functional requirements for complex digital projects. Translate business requirements and design intent into functional specifications that clarify scope, acceptance criteria, and edge cases for the implementation team. Champion accessibility, performance, and security standards by embedding them in component design and validating them through structured reviews and automated checks. Coordinate with design systems and backend APIs to deliver coherent user interfaces, aligning interface contracts with service boundaries and data models to reduce integration risk. Translate stakeholder needs into clear documentation and shared understanding while collaborating with product owners and QA teams to refine scope and expectations. Guide code reviews and mentor junior developers by providing actionable feedback, sharing proven patterns, and supporting continuous skill development across the team. Automate workflows and local development environments using scripts and templates to speed delivery, reduce manual steps, and remove common friction points. Partner with QA to define test scenarios, validate releases against explicit criteria, and ensure verification activities are executed with discipline and traceability. Track production health, user feedback, and monitoring signals to identify interface issues and drive targeted improvements and refinements over time.

Requirements

You bring 3-5 years of frontend development experience focused on AEM and related Java ecosystems, with a record of shipping user-facing features in live AEM projects. You hold solid knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern tooling used in enterprise projects, enabling you to write maintainable, testable interface code and debug complex front-end issues efficiently. You understand component design, templating strategies, and content structure within AEM contexts, designing components that balance reusability, responsiveness, and authoring experience. You communicate clearly in English while working alongside distributed teams and stakeholders, articulating trade-offs, decisions, and status in a way that supports alignment and shared understanding. You demonstrate ownership of end-to-end delivery, seeing features from initial design through implementation, review, and production monitoring while maintaining quality and clarity. You collaborate effectively in an agile environment, adapting to changing priorities while maintaining focus on technical excellence and sustainable delivery practices. You respect confidentiality and handle sensitive project information with professionalism, recognizing that trust is essential in client partnerships.
