This role requires a meticulous professional who takes full ownership of the final quality of every jewellery piece before it reaches the customer. You will be the last line of defense ensuring that only flawless products ship from the facility. The position demands a proactive mindset to identify issues early and prevent recurrence across the supply chain. You will operate at the intersection of technical inspection, supplier collaboration, and process optimization. Success in this role means directly contributing to customer trust and the brand's reputation for quality. The work involves constant evaluation and refinement of standards to meet evolving market expectations. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between manufacturing output and client specifications.

What you'll do
- Execute detailed quality inspections of fine and demi-fine jewellery collections, scrutinizing every piece against Nivoda's stringent quality standards prior to shipment.
- Make definitive pass or fail decisions based on internal quality benchmarks, documenting each determination with precision and clarity in the tracking system.
- Log all inspection outcomes accompanied by supporting photographic evidence and detailed comments to create an auditable record.
- Escalate quality related discrepancies to the factory floor immediately and drive corrective actions to completion on the same day without delay.
- Verify that each jewellery item aligns perfectly with approved CAD designs, explicit customer specifications, and all design requirements.
- Analyze data to detect recurring quality issues and emerging supplier trends, then provide actionable feedback aimed at improving manufacturing quality and reducing repeat defects.
- Champion continuous improvement by recommending specific enhancements to quality standards, inspection procedures, and supplier performance metrics.
- Foster strong, professional working relationships with suppliers to collaboratively drive consistent quality and elevate overall manufacturing standards.
- Assume end-to-end ownership of the final quality of every jewellery piece, ensuring adherence to Nivoda's quality standards and customer specifications.
- Contribute directly to an exceptional customer experience by guaranteeing that only superior quality products are delivered on time.
- Prioritize and manage multiple orders simultaneously within a fast-paced, high-volume environment without compromising on quality thresholds.
- Utilize internal systems, spreadsheets, and dedicated quality documentation tools to maintain accurate records and streamline workflows.
- Assess pieces against export quality standards for jewellery, ensuring compliance with international market requirements.
- Communicate findings and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues swiftly and efficiently.
Requirements
- Bring 3-5 years of hands-on experience specifically in Fine and Demi-Fine Jewellery Quality Control roles.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the complete fine jewellery manufacturing process, from the initial Casting stage through to final polishing and finishing.
- Exhibit good knowledge of diamonds, coloured gemstones, precious metals, stone setting techniques, and the nuances of jewellery craftsmanship.
- Possess the ability to identify a wide range of manufacturing defects and recommend appropriate, effective corrective actions.
- Have direct experience working closely with jewellery manufacturers and suppliers in a production environment.
- Show strong attention to detail and a highly process-oriented approach to every task.
- Apply excellent problem-solving skills and perform thorough root cause analysis to prevent future issues.
- Prove the capability to prioritise multiple orders efficiently while maintaining strict quality standards in a fast-paced setting.
- Communicate clearly and work collaboratively across cross-functional teams located in different functions.
- Have familiarity with export quality standards for jewellery and the regulations that govern international trade.
- Be comfortable using internal systems, spreadsheets, and a variety of quality documentation tools on a daily basis.
