About the role
As a Business Development Executive at Nivoda, you will be a key driver in expanding and strengthening supplier relationships within our new Bangkok office. Your primary focus will be on onboarding high-quality gemstone suppliers, managing ongoing supplier engagement, and ensuring operational excellence across the gemstone category. This role combines strategic development with hands-on leadership of the Bangkok-based team, aiming to optimize supplier performance, uphold quality standards, and contribute to the company's growth objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including global category, product, and tech teams, to align on strategic initiatives and improve overall supplier experience. The position involves a mix of relationship management, data-driven decision making, and operational oversight to support Nivoda's mission of connecting jewelry retailers with reliable, high-quality suppliers worldwide.

What you'll do
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-quality gemstone suppliers that meet Nivoda's standards and strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong, consultative relationships with suppliers to foster engagement, loyalty, and revenue growth.
- Guide suppliers in optimizing their product listings, including pricing, quality, and inventory availability, to meet platform demand efficiently.
- Support suppliers through proactive communication, media checks, quality verification processes, and inventory alignment to ensure compliance and high standards.
- Use data insights and performance metrics to assess supplier performance, identify growth opportunities, and implement strategies to enhance sales and fulfillment rates.
- Drive suppliers toward achieving revenue targets by optimizing product assortments, managing inventory health, and improving overall performance metrics.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the Bangkok operations team to achieve organizational goals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, facilitate skill development sessions, and promote cross-training among team members to ensure continuous growth.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new team members, ensuring alignment with company values, operational standards, and strategic goals.
- Foster a collaborative environment within the team, encouraging accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with global category, product, and tech teams to align on strategic objectives, process improvements, and system enhancements.
- Maintain high-quality standards across supplier media, pricing accuracy, and gemstone authenticity to minimize customer complaints and return rates.
- Implement quality assurance measures proactively, including media checks and verification processes, to uphold product integrity.
- Contribute to process and system improvements aimed at enhancing supplier experience, operational efficiency, and overall platform performance.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to supplier development, sales, and operational metrics to inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards, including adherence to quality and authenticity protocols.
- Support the company's growth initiatives by identifying new supplier opportunities and expanding the supplier base strategically.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of work experience in supplier management, operations, or B2B e-commerce.
- Proven success in managing supplier relationships and driving operational improvements.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain consultative relationships with suppliers.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and implement strategic improvements.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and a transparent working approach, especially regarding gemstone authenticity and quality.
- Proficiency in MS Office, reporting tools, and general business software to facilitate data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on, proactive attitude with a strong ownership mentality and a "can-do" approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
