About the role
You will architect and lead the strategic expansion of Nium's partner ecosystem across the Americas region, defining the blueprint for future-ready financial infrastructure. In this capacity, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of key partnerships, from initial engagement to scaled commercial deployment and ongoing performance optimization. You will design and implement network expansion initiatives that directly support Nium's mission of delivering the global payments infrastructure of tomorrow, today. You will be responsible for identifying and onboarding critical partner banks and financial intermediaries that enable real-time cross-border payouts spanning 100 currencies. You will spearhead product launch strategies for new network capabilities, ensuring seamless integration and value realization for partners and their merchants. You will lead network resiliency projects that mitigate risk and enhance redundancy across payment corridors and settlement rails. You will act as the primary strategic advisor to partners, aligning technical, commercial, and compliance objectives with Nium's global standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decisions that optimize network performance and partner satisfaction.

What you'll do
Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy for the Americas region focused on network expansion and diversification.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic partner banks and financial intermediaries capable of supporting real-time payout capabilities across 220+ markets.
Define and lead network resiliency initiatives that address single points of failure and ensure continuity across critical payment corridors.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape the roadmap for new network products and features aligned with partner demand.
Establish and manage formal service-level agreements and performance frameworks to monitor partner reliability and uptime.
Lead due diligence and risk assessments for potential partners, ensuring alignment with Nium's regulatory and compliance standards.
Design and implement onboarding programs that enable partners to rapidly integrate and leverage Nium's payout network and card issuance capabilities.
Spearhead go-to-market initiatives for new network features, coordinating training and enablement for partner teams.
Analyze network performance data to identify bottlenecks, optimize settlement flows, and drive continuous improvement.
Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations to foster long-term collaboration.
Champion the adoption of Nium's 100 real-time payout markets, ensuring partners can fully utilize coverage across supported geographies.
Oversee the integration of new card issuance capabilities across 34 countries, ensuring partners can deliver seamless card-based payments.
Coordinate cross-functional working groups to resolve complex network issues and align on solutions that enhance stability and scalability.
Act as a technical and commercial liaison for partners navigating Nium's regulatory licenses and authorizations in over 40 countries.
Requirements
Demonstrate a proven track record in partnership development, network management, or financial infrastructure roles within the payments or fintech sector.
Bring extensive experience in managing relationships with banks, financial intermediaries, or critical service providers in a high-growth environment.
Showcase a deep understanding of cross-border payments, settlement mechanisms, and the complexities of operating in multi-currency environments spanning 220+ markets.
Exhibit strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor internal stakeholders and external partners toward shared objectives.
Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and performance optimization.
Have a robust history of developing and executing go-to-market strategies that drive adoption and revenue growth in new markets.
Show proficiency in navigating complex regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with global stakeholders and partners.

This is a full-time position based in San Francisco.
