About the role
Nium is seeking a strategic HR Business Partner to join our People team for a 9-month contract. You will act as a primary advisor to two CXO-level leaders, aligning human capital strategies with our commercial objectives. In this capacity, you will interpret business demands and translate them into actionable people strategies. The role requires a proactive mindset to anticipate organizational needs and mitigate talent risks ahead of critical milestones. You will serve as a trusted confidant to senior stakeholders, providing counsel on sensitive organizational matters. What you'll do
- Advise two CXO-level executives on organizational effectiveness and talent strategy.
- Lead performance management, succession planning, and career development cycles.
- Design and execute organizational restructures while maintaining engagement.
- Facilitate leadership development workshops in collaboration with the L&D team.
- Manage complex employee relations, including investigations and disciplinary actions.
- Use people data to track trends and measure the success of HR initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal centers of excellence, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and HR Operations.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across your assigned business units.
- Partner with Finance to analyze headcount spend and optimize workforce allocation.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee experience and engagement across the organization.
- Translate business objectives into talent strategies and communicate these plans to stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Act as a subject matter expert in employment law and best practices relevant to the Singapore market.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance feedback and goal setting.
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of professional HR experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a Business Partner role supporting senior leadership.
- Background in high-growth, matrixed, or fast-paced environments.
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end organizational design and change management.
- Expertise in handling complex employee relations and grievance processes.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to link people strategy to business performance.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms, with a preference for HiBob.
- Experience using AI tools to improve employee experience workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
- A proactive approach to identifying issues and proposing preventative solutions.
